While I like Anthem, it's clearly an unfinished game. There's no doubt. The strongest point of the game are the Javelins themselves. Think of Iron Man armor loaded with weapons with tons of customization. They fly, go underwater, run, jump, and deliver mayhem to the enemies in Anthem. Loads of fun just running around with these things. However, the rest of the game has problems. Bugs, lack of mission variety, lack of enemy variety, scaled down graphics, questionable loot drops and a pretty weak end game. Sure, this will all probably be fixed eventually, but I have a dim view of releasing unfinished games. I would say wait a few months before buying. By then, I will be able to recommend it to a friend.

I love flying, zipping in and out of combat and switching between melee combos and gunplay. But just about everything else is meh. Also the servers are pretty barren now, you will likely play alone

The gameplay is actually fun just it does have some bugs and the story mode is short and not a lot of content for a $60 game but soon they are releasing new DLC so hopefully they can turn it around.

Great game with unique style play for a looter shooter. Very family friendly too. Appropriate for teens and up, very little language (almost none), no sexual situations at all and all violence is very simplistic and not embellished. Hopefully more content will be developed soon to keep the game growing.

Currently it has some bugs but the game so far has been fun solo and with friends. I’ve suprisingly enjoyed the story and and lore. I’m level 26 (current cap is 30) so I can’t speak for the endgame but I expect updates and more content to come.

I really hope EA revives this series. The graphics are great, the gameplay is great, the world is intriguing. There just isn't enough to do. I hope sometime fleshes out a proper single player campaign - it could be really great. Unlikely that they will, so better to purchase on clearance.

They game is very fun combats excellent. But the loading screens ruin it for me personally they take forever and are constantly up ever time you finish a combat scene or switch out mech.

This game plays a lot like the Destiny games, so if you enjoyed them, you’ll probably like this one as well! Supposedly all dlc will be free but time will tell, there are bugs and problems but BioWare is fixing them. Worth a play not sure how the replay factor will be after I beat the game

My friend recommended downloading this game, so I did. He said it would be fun. It's not. Dialogue is garbage. Graphics are pretty awesome, though. The gameplay is rather dull. It was a waste of my money, and now I'm sad.

Just started playing last week. The graphics are life like. The story line keeps you interested and the back story from the people fills in the hole game. Missions have good graphics and team play works well with no lag.

I’ll start by saying I’m a casual gamer, meaning I play 1-2 hours tops every other day or so. So far I’ve noticed that this game is getting a bad wrap, but the problem is everyone reviewing this bad boy is a hardcore gamer who plays sooo many hours per week. I’ll tell you right now, this game is AAA for the casual gamer. It’s got everything you need to level at your own pace with plenty to do at endgame. With the promise of FREE updates in the future, I can’t wait to see what happens next. So far, I am thoroughly enjoying Anthem, and I look forward to seeing this game evolve. I would 100% recommend this game to anyone, but especially the casual gamer. This one could end up being VERY special, and I look forward to joining in on the ride.

This game has many flaws as all games of service games have. If you are fine with that the foundation this game has laid is excellent. The verticality of the gameplay and the javelins steal the show. Hopefully they work out the issues and add more end game content.

The game is awesome, love the battles, and fight conquest against the faction threat towards the humans. Game keeps you very involved, lots of action. It is online play and you are playing with other online players. Get the right Team and have fun

Overall the game it self is fun when you can actually play it. The connection to servers is awful and loading time is pathetic. Evolve is only game I have played that loads slower. There is quite a bit little stuff missing that would have been easy to put in as well. I do like the game but it is hard to play a good while without getting kicked to dashboard or load for 8 years. IF it gets better soon I might recommend but for now play something else that is playable.

Despite the obvious flaws it has on certain PS4 consoles, the game itself is a fun time, especially with friends. I’ve been playing almost exclusively with friends and I enjoy it quite a bit. I’m not sure why so many reviewers hate on the game itself.

I'm torn over Anthem. On the one hand, the game mechanics while on missions and in combat is fantastic. Piloting a javelin through the lush jungle environments is incredibly fun, and the abilities and weapons are great. However, when outside of missions, the game is really bland. It doesn't feel like the typical BioWare world, where you care about uncovering every little plot detail and conversing with everyone possible - Anthem's NPCs are boring tropes with little interesting to say. If you can get past the latter, the main gameplay just might be worth the purchase.

Got this for my son's birthday. He enjoys it but said after a while it gets boring. Not sure as I haven't played it. The sale price didn't hurt either.

The game was terrible during the preview, but was patched on release day. There isn't a ton of content, but what is there is really good in my opinion. I have a ton of time in Destiny 1 and 2 and find this game to be a better game as far as game play.

It’s a great game all around. I’ve been playing it co op with a buddy of mine and we love it. The guns, sound, graphics..... it’s s pretty good. The flight mechanics are the best I’ve seen.
