Using this paired with an HP Envy 17" laptop as a second monitor. Biggest complaint is refresh rate, while it states 5ms/60hz refresh rate it doesn't not perform as such. When scrolling through any kind of text document the letters "glow" as the white balance shifts. It can be limited by changing the settings, but was a little too dim for my tastes. I'm not 100% sure why either, but had a bit of an issue with my laptop using too much resources. It has 12GB RAM and a standalone graphics card. Should not have had that issue, unplugging it all acted fine. May honestly be the laptop as I have never experienced that before. The only thing that makes me think otherwise is I purchased an HP 27" in place of this one and no computer lag or slow down at all. With same specs (outside of screen size and IPS vs VA panel). For the "sale" price its hard to pass it up. I may find use for it elsewhere. it displays video just fine, its really just in text documents that it is annoying and it didn't like to work with my system. Would I recommend to a friend? Yes, if it was going to be used as a standalone monitor...maybe. Just keep the box. First time I didn't and would like to return it.

For the deal of the day price this monitor cannot be beat! Great port selection, speakers via aux input (not tried them). Just using for standard web, word processing, etc with a dual monitor set up for a 17" laptop.

I have to say that I was very pleased with the quality of the AOC monitor. I really like the fact that it is slim and light weight yet the picture quality in great for daily use.

I had given my daughter an older monitor for her computer. After a number of years, the quality was degraded pretty bad. I have always had success with the AOC monitors, so I picked this up as a replacement, and it works great so far.

As I work from home quite often and wanted a second monitor to hook up to my laptop, I chose this one because of the price. I needed nothing fancy and was not planning on using it for games or anything like that. This is perfect as a secondary monitor. I was suprised by how light weight it was as I was used to older, heavier monitors, so that was a plus as well. I plugged it into my laptop, set up as a dual monitor and am very happy with it.

Works well on my laptop as a second monitor making the screen easier to read. Built in speakers were sub-par but I just switched to the built in laptop speakers.

this monitor is a great product, its screen resolution is optimal for all of my photo and office needs.

I purchased two of these for a two monitor setup on sale, and they are actually very good monitors. I would definitely recommend these to someone else looking for something similar, have not been disappointed at all.

Photos are not accurate what so ever. The bezel along the outside edge is shown to be very thin. However, in actuality the bezel is actually quite significant. The description calls it "frameless" on the aoc website but its hardly that. I purchased two planning to put them side by side for a dual set up with almost no separation between screens but now I will be returning them.

I needed an inexpensive monitor for working from home for my laptop! Does the trick and easy set up!

Bought this for an employee's dual monitor set up. Easy to get set up, and the clarity is great. I would definitely buy it again. For the money its great.

I usually color calibrate my monitors, and AOCs have always been more stable than most others, especially in this price range.
