    Great Entry Level 4k Monitor

I bought 2 of these during the Memorial day sale. Two of these provide quite a bit of screen real estate. Are there better monitors out there? Sure but 2 of these for under $600 is pretty hard to beat. I will list some pros and cons below. Hope it helps! Pros: Great resolution 3840x2160. Make sure your GPU is capable at this setting Has VGA, HDMI, DP, and DVI inputs Comes with VGA, HDMI, and DP to DP 6 ft cables Fast refresh rate No tools required for stand Cons: No Vesa Mount No DVI Dual link cable. If your video card is a dual DVI output, you will need to purchase a cable. Stand is limited. Does not adjust up and down, only tilts Has about a 1/2"-5/8" bezel all the way around. most of the newer monitors have a bezel free design. May be important to some!

You have to adjust the settings to get the right color. It looks very sharp and nice and big. I would recommend getting the warranty, when I got mine it has one small spot in the bottom left of screen that is white. ( A hot pixel) I tried to fix it using JScreenFix, I think it got smaller some, but is still noticeable. Overall it's great!

I always read review about products before I buy them but it always seems that they are biased to the product. I am very critical of technology and strive for perfection. But apparently the reviews that I have seen have been very "WOW look its SHINY it must be GREAT!" Because this product does not deserve 4.5 stars at all. So i bought 2 of these monitors for my docking station with my laptop that has a 4K IPS display on it and is extremely accurate. The only reason I point this out is I was unsure about the TN display vs IPS display. This is something that I could not experience in the local store. The selection of displays in this location are minimal. These monitors do not compare to the laptop screen at all. I did not expect them to be the same quality of my high end laptop but I did not expect them to be this far off either. The color reproduction is no where close to accurate. These monitors are very flat and dull looking. Everything on the screen seems to meld together. Where as I am use to colors being very vibrant and making things stand out. These monitors seem to make things hard to read and seem fuzzy when compared to the IPS. When having the 2 displays side by side and displaying the same screen they do not match at all. In having open a website that has blue on it one of them looks light blue while the other looks like a darker blue. This is out of box with equal settings. While typing this review I have noticed that on my high end laptop there is a gray box that follows the box where you are typing. This is almost non existent on the AOC and impossible to see. Also the viewing angles are extremely bad. Depending on where you are sitting, like I am 3 inches off center of the monitor and the left side of the monitor is a cool white where as the right side is a warm white. This moves from side to side as you move your head 6 inches from left to right. The size of the monitor is impressive and the construction is decent. The monitor does come with cables to hook it up. I did not see where this was said when purchasing them. I am of course returning them tomorrow and going to look at another solution. Also they have went down in price dramatically since I ordered them 3 days ago.

Everyone is saying great monitor for price. But even ignoring the price, it's an excellent monitor. Great colors and clarity. Witcher 3 and over watch look and play wonderfully.

My past monitor was also by AOC and I was impressed with it especially for the hours of use I have put into it. This new 4k monitor by AOC has not dissapointed. It is a great first 4k monitor that doesnt cost an arm and leg.

    Wonderful deal for 4k

We love AOC! we previously bought another set of AOC monitors last year, but after upgrading to a new system with a GTX 1080 graphics card, we really needed something that would match our awesome new system. You DO have to update your settings for these monitors to reach their full potential. You can't just plug and go. I'm sure everyone knows this but even in your games you must update them to get the best appearance. You WILL love these and you cannot find a better deal for 4k monitors especially for the size.

    Sweet Monitor for my Desktop

I was skeptical that the monitor would be everything that is advertised, but it is really great! The only draw back is that it does not have the standard monitor mount which would allow it to mount into typical office monitor arms and it does not allow for portrait rotation of the monitor. It is 100% great in the other performance and most importantly value measurements.

    Looks Great Over VGA

Whenever I use any other input other than VGA it looks very blurry. Games look and run great while using a GTX 1080 using a DP to VGA adapter.

    Good 4k display.... but

Pros: 4k, HDMI 2, Display Port. Cons: Default settings related to brightness/contrast/color make my eyes get very tired too soon. I tried modifying these values but I got too dark pictures. I had to use my graphics card to set these settings besides the ones I already made to the display. Maybe I am having an eyesight problem but I have another AOC 1k display on my right and it does not require any special settings through the graphics card. So, unless you use some kind of protective glasses I would suggest using this display for no very long periods of time under default settings. For the price it is a good investment. It does not support VESA mounting.

    Good price, so-so display

It has a very sharp display, but many reviews I read stated that people had issues with dead pixels. I did not have this issue initially, however I noticed while using Adobe Premiere that I infact had a dead pixel on my display. As a best buy associate, there are a variety of products that I have dealt with that had issues out of the box and replaced them with no ensuing problems. I honestly just recommend buying the Samsung 28" 4K instead, as a $3-400 purchase on a monitor is a pretty hefty price tag and you will only end up saving $40-50 in the short term if you pass on GSP.

DO NOT BUY! Bought Two 1 Broke

    Posted .

I bought two of these monitors, and one lost most of its intensity 3 months after purchase. AOC support was difficult to contact and finally get an RMA number. It took several weeks to just get a response from them then it took almost a month to get the monitor back. The replacement monitor was more broke than the one I sent, it did not even power on. It cost me $40+ to send the monitor to them so now $40 later I have another bad monitor. AOC service is horrible, the phone line works 1 out of 10 times. Get another brand that has decent service.

Got this monitor for a great price and all seemed well. But only hours later, it went black and couldn't be revived. Wouldn't recommend.
