I have had another model since 1997, so when it finally died I replaced it with a larger model. These are very reliable and priced right.

I couldn't give the UPS all 5 stars as I haven't had it long enough. We'll see how it does during hurricane season, which starts in 10 days. This is the 3rd unit I;ve bought; I keep putting them into new apps. In the 6+ years I've had them, not 1 failure.

Clean set up. I am replacing and older APC UPS that simply was at the end of it's life. I hope this one holds ups (get it) as well as the old one.

I have used APC supplies for many years. I switch on both the computer and CRT monitor together using a plug strip, so the battery backup must be able to handle the initial surge as the CRT monitor starts up. The APC battery backup can handle this when the AC line is powered; surprisingly some other brands cannot. APC now offers replacement batteries for sale, so you don't need to trash the battery backup when the battery wears out. The batteries generally last three to five years

I replaced my ordinary surge protector with this APC UPS surge protector about 2 weeks ago thinking it would offer greater protection for my PC along with battery backup. Big mistake! We had a power surge today, and now my 1 year old power supply is ruined. My son’s CyberPower UPS handled the surge properly for his computer, but my brand new APC 750VA failed to protect my computer. My computer’s Antec TP3 power supply that I got a year ago has been zapped and fried. I called APC and found that I will have to ship the UPS back at my own expense. Then IF they decide that the UPS was faulty, they will only reimburse the fair market value of USED equipment, NOT the replacement value. So I will be out a costly shipping fee (the UPS is heavy) and a good part of the cost to replace my power supply. Plus now I will worry that it will happen again. I am very disappointed in the quality of this APC product and the deceptive equipment protection warranty that doesn’t live up to expectations.

So far, it's protecting my whole system. Very easy installation, good price.

My comment only pertains to the directions as I just purchased tonight - with high expectations per other reivews. I open the box and sift through the various foreign language pages and open the English page. Small black font on dark gray shading - I had to put them under a bright desklight to read them. First impression is - what are they thinking, could this be any less consumer friendly? Hope their product people are better than their directions staff.

The battery in this still holds strong after 2 years of moderate useage. Get one!

Seems to be working well, power went off once and the battery power kicked in just as it was supposed to. Only issue is the Master Controlled Outlets don't ever seem to turn off, even after adjusting the sensativaty.

I replaced an older UPS with this one. It worked perfectly, but was just larger then the space available so I had to return it. APC sent me a new battery for my old unit and it is working like a champ again. Thanks, APC.

It does the Job. I live in South Florida and this time of year we have regular outages. This unit works great in keeping full power to my 27" iMac, 27" Thunderbolt display, and Dell 17" display until the generator comes on which is usually about 1 minute after an outage. If you have computer equipment this is a must have.

I spend a lot of time selling at auctions and would hate to lose all of my work at the last minute. This happened to me one time.....NEVER AGAIN!!!

After all sorts of research, I decided to go with this model, a lot of value for the money. Also the great reviews APC products had received on Bestbuy.com and elsewhere.

I have used APC products for over 20 years, and I must say they are one of the top battery back-up system.

This product has so many features that I will probably never use. I trust it to be protecting my electronics room.

The day after I setup the battery backup we lost power. The power stayed up on my 750VA until a clean shutdown of my computer.

I love this item, keeps my items protected and on for a good amount of time so I can properly shut them down.

I have only had this battery back up a little while, but it does its job well.

I bought this item Feb 6, 2011. I hooked it up but did not install the powerchute software. The backup unit would randomly shut the computer down. I installed the powerchute 2.1.1 software. When I exectued the self test it crashed the computer causing disk coruption. It took several hours to get the computer operating properly. I downloaded powerchute 3.0 for windows 7 and tried the self test. Once again the computer crashed. After I finally got the computer working again I sent a message to APC support. It has been a week with no response. I have 4 other APC units that are working great. I will not buy another. If support does not care enough to acknowledge my message requesting help, then I will move on to another product.
