I have had no issues since installing this unit a few months ago.

we normally have bought the higher priced units for a few more minutes of energy but when you look at it closely not worth the extra money.

Set up small server and use this to protect the computer and peripherals. don't have power issues very often but data is too valuable to chance losing. Has worked fine the few times I've had to unplug it to move the rack.

We won't be able to really test the product until the power goes out again. This is our second back up battery but didn't realize I could just order a new battery for it instead of a new unit. That probably could have saved me money.

The UPC backup is as shown on the box. It was easy to install.

I've always trusted APC and while this UPS was much larger than what I was expecting, it functions perfectly for it's intended purpose.

In general, these are a must have for any electronic equipment, including PCs, TVs, network equipment etc. They cover the "brownouts" as well as the surges and keep equipment going until either a generator kicks in or the battery runs out (time varies with load). I've seen too many electronics fail from brownout electrical events to not use these devices. You can connect (via USB) to a PC so it knows to shut down cleanly if on battery. Cautionary note: the battery probably last about two years under normal use, but are not prohibitively expensive to replace (you don't need genuine APC replacements, OEMs are good. I use Apex batteries for replacement). Look for discounts, I think BestBuy often have them on sale.

APC makes the best UPS on the market and this one is no exception, i would probably buy it elsewhere though and save yourself $20
