One thing to remember when using a APC battery backup is to take panel off the bottom and hook the ground wire up to the battery. Cyberpower and some others come ready to plug in and turn on. APC is a very good brand name in backups, I prefer a bigger one for longer run time so you can power down the equipment properly, but the 700 was fine for this application.

It was very annoying when the electric supply would flicker off briefly before returning to normal a couple of times each week, causing my PC to shutdown. This device keeps my PC on and gives me time for an orderly shutdown in case the loss of service turns out to be a long one.

Keeps my equipment up when there is a storm or power outage.

Haven't had any issues with this APC. Been very happy with it.

Love the battery feature on this surge. My old one capped out after only 3 years and the internal battery was not replaceable. Got this one because of that option just in case it ever dies. Use it mainly for my electronics around my TV and the TV itself. So far so good!

Power when the electric co. fails to provide power to my home. I now use my UPS battery backup on my home entertainment center an APC 700 VA ran 1 – 39” samsung flat screen TV, 1 – Pioneer receiver 1 – Verizon set top box and 1 – Toshiba DVR vhs/dvd recorder player for 30 minutes when I stopped the test. I ordered another APC UPS from Best buy a 600 VA and split up the 4 components TV & receiver on the 700 VA and the DVR & Verizon set top box on the 600 VA I should now be able to run all for at least an hour or more also electric brownout protection a plus, can’t ask for better. I ordered both units online from best buy and received them in three days, fast secure shipping 5 star services. I always buy APC and they always provide excellent power backup for 5 - 6 years.

Needed a small, inexpensive UPS for my detached garage for garage door opener, emergence light for outages, and to keep my 3 security cams working during outages and power bumps. This UPS was twice the power I really needed, but, on sale, was a great buy, from a reputable company. Gave it 4 out of 5 Stars because, imho, any and all UPS's over 500VA should have a cable connection, for stand-alone TV's.

this is my third surge protector and it works just fine.

Great product! Easy to set up and operate. And it helps to keep my Internet connection uninterrupted. I bought this specifically to plug in my modem and router to keep the Internet access open even if the power is out. Very simple! And gives me peace of mind!
