We have between 30 and 35 of these guys in our IDF's around campus at any given time. We're using them instead of expensive rack mount gear to keep our low end switches alive in the event of a power blip. We have only had one cook off so far, and that was because a water line in an adjacent mechanical area burst and soaked it down. So far so good on run time and the alerts they send out have been useful.

This was added to my 3D Printer to better protect it from power outages. So far, so good!

I have plugged in all my critical devices, modems, wireless routers, iMac, printers to the APC UPS. I live in an area where we lose power fairly frequently and the UPS allows me to stay connected for several hours or more until power returns. I highly recommend this item.

The battery was fully charged and the set up instructions were easy to follow. If I am in the middle of a crucial Windows Update when the power goes out, I should have enough battery backup power to complete the update without screwing up my computer.

Having 3 of the APC - Power Saving Back-UPS XS 1500 (and a fourth but an XS 1300), I have nothing but excellent praises on these APC - USP systems. I happen to live where we constantly have short interruptions of power. Depending on the load (wattage), if you lose power and it is is more than just a few minutes, you will have plenty of time to shut down your devices and especially your computers. The XS 1500 has a switchable digital display which is something extremely useful. The battery has a 2 year guarantee. APC has the best support and warranty as I had one battery that broke down after the first year and they sent a new one, at no charge to me. I have tried other brands over years but I have found APC to be the best. Stick with APC, you won't be disappointed.

This is a simple plug and go setup for a UPS, with an easy to read display.

This UPS is simple, unobtrusive and powerful. I can support my PC tower, 2 monitors, router, printer, USB hub and speaker system without any issue at all. The PC power down software works perfectly for extended outages.

We gravitated toward APC because of a previous excellent experience. This was a bit overkill for one computer and printer but we expect to get more battery life as a result. Combined with the sale price at the time of our purchase it was an easy choice.

I love this thing. I have bought quite a few of them. It protects my dsl modem, routers, Ethernet switches and NAS server for hours and hours when the power goes out .... my laptop justs stays on line! Good quality, APC is a good American Company. Buy it!
