I have a small office set up and don't do a lot but I just wanted something to back-up my electric power source. It's a real hassle to have to reboot everything, not to mention the surge protection.

We have two computers and two NAS devices and two switches, and this APC can keeps them all running for a while after a power outage, probably 15 - 20 minutes if I don't power them off first.

Great product, I put it in my computer room at my hotel.

With two of these, we are able to ensure sufficient protection and buffer time to shut down our Radiology reading stations. A little higher priced compared to other brands, but APC has always done us well.

This helps me in Florida when we have multiple power blips and outages on a weekly basis. This helps with the reliability with our devices and limit wear and tear on them and surges.

Run time is 30 minutes for one power supply on server

The battery backup has excellent power reserve to hold my tv on for at least 1/2 an hour when the power goes out

This is my 2nd APC Power Back-up. The 1st one worked for over 5 years and finally gave up the ghost. It worked great and when it was time to buy a new one, I came back to APC. Very happy with my purchase

I've been using APC's products since the late '80's. I've only had one the that failed sooner than I thought it should. This unit works like a champ. FYI, don't rely on Best Buys web site to determine anything is in a stores inventory. Best Buys web site said there were 3 units in inventory. Best Buys stores inventory program said there were 3 units in inventory. However, 30 minutes of searching by 3 associated it was determine there were zero units in inventory. If I had know this I could have ordered from home and saved the trip and time at the store.

I have had a few brown outs and black outs and this unit has saved my computer a few times. I have all my networking equipment and my 27” i7 computer connected to it and I still get around 40 minutes of backup power which is more than enough time to properly shutdown my computer without the risk of corrupting the data and operating system. With just my networking stuff powered on, I have 3-4 hours of wireless Internet usage which helps with checking the Internet for when power will be restored. A backup unit is something everyone with a computer should have, and APC is a trusted name in that field.

Will keep your desktop running for sometime allowing you to power down. Also will run a laptop for a while when the battery is low.

I had the XS 1300 model before and I am completely satisfied with the APC product. I work from home and it has saved me a few times from being kicked off line due to power fluctuations.

Battery backup shouldn't be used for extended use on your computer. It should last long enough to properly shutdown your computer. This model allows me about 30 mins to get to my computer to shutdown.

Purchased UPS to protect my TV and A/V equipment. It does a great job and we haven't had any problems with any of the equipment so far (and we live in an area that gets frequent power pops).
