This unit is easy to setup and install. Performs well at cleaning out power dips and spikes. Have it connected to a computer and monitor (with a few peripherals) pulling about 1850 watts and it handles the load without issue. The intelligent feature of the plugs is also helpful. Installing the free software from APC allows the PC to interact with the UPS and know when to power down peripherals that are only used when the PC is powered on.

Excellent protection for your computer needs. It will give you time to back-up your data in the event of a power failure. Also protects your electrical devices in the event of a power surge. Has a a lot of available outlets to use. Slightly costly but worth the investment.

This is a quality built product that provides plenty of backup power for most users. I have this connected to my television, Xbox One, and home theater receiver. The UPS display will show you the amount of draw you have on the unit. There are numerous protected and unprotected outlets and the unit has a sturdy power cable of sufficient length.

I got this UPS to replace another, older unit. This one is a bit bigger watt-wise to handle my desktop, two monitors, wireless router, and a couple of other peripherals. Even then, it shows less than 50% load, which means I get a good 15 minute run time when the power goes out. And the power always goes out with bad weather down here. I highly recommend this unit and the APC brand.

I have been using APC UPS products for years now, and always recommend them to my customers. APC is the best. This APC Power Saving Back-UPS XS 1500 has plenty of Backup Time for most application needs, even computers and peripherals that may need plenty of Power. With this said about peripherals, however, it should be mentioned that Printers should not be connected to the Battery-Powered Outlets of this kind of UPS, as they generally draw too much Power. You can always restart a Print job when Power is restored. You use a UPS of this type to prevent Power Fluctuations and Outages from killing Power to your PC/Mac that could damage it, and so you can finish your work, save it, and shut down properly, in the event of a Power Outage. APC makes UPS models that output Real Power (a true Sine Wave AC) for Printers and devices that need it. But it is Safe to connect everything else; your PC/Mac or Laptop/Notebook, Monitor, Speakers, Modem, Router, any Hubs/Switches, and NAS devices (Network-Attached Storage). I highly recommend this unit, and I highly recommend Best Buy! Their sales staff is knowledgeable of the products they carry and can help you make your selections.

I bought this APC unit to replace an older unit that had a bad control board. This unit conditions our dirty power out here very well. It provides about 30 minutes of backup power to my 55" tv, cable modem, and router. The large display allows for easy identification of how much load the unit is under and remaining power. The ability to silence the alarm is also very nice.

These are battery backups. I have used them in the past and they are very worthwhile investments. As for this particular model, its hard to review something you do not know is going to work for some time as you wont know how well it works until you have a power outage in a critical situation. Especially if you have not used a lot of other models or brands to be a fair reviewer. This unit definitely seems to work at time of purchase. If anyone says more than that, well, I would be weary. I wouldn't risk not having a battery backup for myself as my work is critical.

This is my third battery backup and I use them for my entertainment center because if the power blinks for a storm it takes several minutes for the cable box to reset with the backup there is no interruption at all, I suggest that if you are a TV freak and hate interruptions you will love this addition to your entertainment center

I have several of these units. It is nice to know that my computers will not just shut down when the power goes out, which happens quite often here in the boondocks of Kentucky! The power supply allows me to shut the computers down manually, without creating drive errors or other problems. They are powerful enough to support the computers which are in sleep mode, until a short power outage ends.

I live in the USVI where we regularly experience power outages and brown-outs - Between the salt air and the power fluctuations, electronics will not last long unless adequately protected. We had two power outages in the first two weeks after putting this UPS in place and it kept essential computer equipment running without a hiccup during power loss and transfers to generator power.

This product is great and works as described as the manufacturer has stated.

I have a desktop computer with 1200 watt power supply and 2 laptops. My old unit wasn't up the load. This one shrugged off several power interruptions in rapid succession without even one error or failure. This sort of reliability is essential for valuable data and records. Good job, APC!

High quality battery back-up and surge protection at a great price.

This UPS is an excellent unit for a small office or home network. This unit will support a desktop computer and display, Wi-Fi router, cable modem, cable TV interface without any stress to the battery. I am currently only using 8% of the units capacity, which means a longer time period of operation of these components should there be a power failure.

This UPC allows one to monitor the voltage and wattage (I think both) going through their system at all times. It also checks that everything is grounded and keeps things running in a power outage. I like the display as it lets me know what is happening versus ones I have had in the past that just click and beep etc.

This battery backup is quiet. Lots of information on the screen from how much power being drawn, voltage being used, & amount of running time in minutes if power was to go out. It sounds like an internal fan turns on only when the unit is running on the battery. It also has an option to black out the screen if the lighted display bothers you.

I have been using APC UPS products for over 10 years. I've used several different models / versions over the years, and I've been happy with all of them. They've definitely saved my bacon a few times. This latest version, puchased roughly 2 months ago, continues the tradition of reliable protection I've grown to expect from APC.
