I bought this to replace a 5 year old APC xs 1500 that had begun to fail, where I did not lose house current, but the darn battery shut down several times. Up until the recent failures it had served me well. Okay, old age, so I went to BB and purchased this unit. After two weeks its alarm went off and displayed “X” referring to the to battery. To its credit, all my computer equipment kept running. I do video editing as part of my business and if you are aware of the long render process, keeping the power on is important! A few hours after the alarm I powered it all down and restarted and it. It has been about 4 weeks now and it has not failed since. I bought this APC to assure myself that I’d have uninterrupted power. I don’t trust it.

APC makes a great product and this one performs just as expected

Open the box, pull out the UPS, open the battery cover, flip battery around, close cover, plug in. Wait, did you say flip the battery around?! Yes, that is right, no electrical spade plugs to fiddle with, just turn the battery around and slide it into its connection point.

Living in Deltona, FL we have been having some bad lightening storms. I work from home and wanted to make sure that if there was a storm that I would not lose my power to my computer until I have time to finish what I was doing. So far I had a surge and the power back up did its job and didn't turn my computer off.

Enough outlets to protect everything at your station.

A must for living in the lighting capital, in Florida. The power out at last a few times a week in the raining season. And Florida Power and Light is not much better the rest of the year. I have 3 of the units, one is about five months old and the other 2 I bought last week. I have used APC for years.

I received the shipment and the case was severely cracked. I reported the issue to Best Buy and they walked me through returning it. A replacement was shipped the next day and when I received it I only had to give the original one back to the delivery person to return. My account was credited. I am very happy with the device and also with Best Buy.

Have several essential business grade machines on this UPS and it has not let us down.

This is a must have for a serious home office. The UPS has ample power to back up the most demanding scenarios and is very simple to use... Just plug in and go with specialized outlets for handling backed up, and non-backed up devices. I have used APC UPS units for years and have been very happy. The new front display on this one is great.

APC is reliable and their commitment to their core business is admirable. I like this model's power levels for a variety of power protection backup scenarios - from servers to several workstations to a rack of communications and networking gear. I've been buying APC for years and this is my fifth Back-ups Xs 1500 .

I now have 4 of these in the house to provide power to my PCs and NAS boxes. The USB connection is great as the software will safely shutdown your PC when the end of the battery protection is coming close. Also, since it is APC who is *the* name brand for a UPS even my QNAP NAS boxes work with this feature.

Easy to hook up. Item so far has worked with no problems.

This wss purchased to protect our daily used TV, AVR. Even the best power from the power company is dirty. It is full of noise and voltage spikes, brown outs and loss or power. A UPS such as this filters the garbage, fills in low voltage and gives you time to turn off your electronics normally in a power failure.

This 1500 has been a real work horse in protecting my 72 inch TV with other audio/video plugged in. I count on a level current out of the Back Ups X S 1500. Lots of bad weather causing surges could have been destructive but my equipment has been saved numerous times..I recommend this product.

This is the best trade off between money, capacity and reliability. I've owned and professionally installed many of this brand UPS over the years and have found all of the APC's to have exceptional battery longevity. I just replaced the batteries in one of my older ups's that lasted over 5 years!

I've had no mechanical issues it comes on when it's supposed to and it works perfectly fine.
