The APC - Power Saving Back-UPS XS 1500 is performing flawlessly so far. I am using it in a network environment where I have rack mount servers and switches. I believe I can trust it to do the job for the equipment I have attached to it.

I never setup a primary workstation without an APC UPS and I got a pair of these for self and wife's systems. Doesn't matter the source grade or reliability, the UPS is essential. These are one of the best.

We use this battery backup on a rack mounted phone system. When power is out, this battery backup is able to provide enough power to keep the phone system up for about 1 hour.

Just had this for a few weeks. Working well. Had 2 short power failures and it kept my small server running. Will re-review in a year and see if it is still doing the job.

Second APC that i got the first one i got seven years ago and just one time i had to change the battery i could easy change the battery but i use the recycle program from APC and got some discount fir this much smaller and liter.

I have owned a number of APC UPS's over the years to protect my computers and peripherals, and each time they have significant new features that improve the basic protection or give me additional functionality that make computing easier. One of the first was having a USB connection that would shut down my PC if a power failure lasted longer than the battery in my UPS. I would not purchase any UPS that did NOT have this feature. The latest feature from APC is having a "master" socket that controls 3 additional "slave" sockets. When my computer is turned on, my two monitors are automatically turned on as well; and when I shut down my PC, both monitors also are powered down.

Hurricane season is almost near end but I got the best power back up from best buy. A+ and very reliable, I can track weather news from my big screen without any issues for minutes before the power comes back.

This battery backup is a great thing if you do work that if loss of power could happen. This battery backup will give you ample time to finish up and save your work before loss of power.

This is in use on a small server and replaced another deceased unit that fried electronics after about 4 years. The simple on-board display is helpful in immediately knowing load and anticipated run time.

We use these battery backups in all the offices at work. They work great and when the batteries in them wear out or fail, it is easy to just recycle the old battery and get a new one from Schneider electric.

I have never had a ups before, but I must say that this is incredible and totally worth it. Has many 5 slots for back up and 5 for surge. The displays are really cool. It can handle to around 850 watts of input before starting to act funny. The battery life is quite long, for me it has 262 minutes. Realistically you can probably get an extra 20 mins during an outtage. Totally worth it if you get random shorts or in a surge situation

Unit works great, was disapointed that it did not have any software included. Went out to the net and found what I needed. Except for the lack of software this unit works great. I would recommend it for any system. I run a high end system with dual monitors and have 45 minutes run time on the backup.

Lasted four and a half years without error or complaint. Used to supply clean / backup power to big screen and gaming consoles and sound bar. Unreliable power / power outages weren’t a problem with this unit. Had already bought a backup unit four months ago to replace this one because of its age but didn’t need to until tonight. Very happy. Outlasted the three year on box warranty by a year and a half. Highly recommended.

I love this backup battery power. It is well designed and very attractive looking exterior housing. I found the ease of removing the unit from the box. the assembly took only a few minutes. There are so many outlets for computers and peripheral devices to plug in.

The APC BackUPS XS 1500 worked as expected - out of the box and installed on my Mac in less than 5 minutes. I want to clarify that I am using this product to shut down my Mac after battery percentage goes below a certain percentage. In my use case - run time on battery is less important than reliable shutdown upon power failure detection. It also kicks in monetarily if there is the slightest fluctuation in line power. It works exactly as I need it to. Very happy.

I bought this to replace a decade old UPS for my office and it is smaller, quieter, and works just as well as the old rack mounted UPS. Very satisfied and will likely buy another for redundancy.

I purchased my first APC backup power supply in 1999, an APC 650 Pro. I've had to replace the battery a few times over the years but the unit is still going strong today and is primarily used to protect an old offline Windows 98 system that I have a ton of family photos on and occasionally still use to play a couple of older games. I've owned several other APC units over the years, some good, some not so good based on my experience with the 650 Pro. I'm currently using two APC XS-1500 units to protect a pair of Windows 7 computers I recently built. With each APC unit offering five battery backup outlets I have no problem feeding clean reliable power to both computers, two 22" monitors, a printer, modem, router, speakers for both computers, one external hard drive and even our phone recorder. So far the two 1500's are holding their own and have saved me a world of misery on two occasions just in the last 30 days when our power flickered and came right back on, and once when it was off for an extended period. It's no secret that bad things can happen to computers (or any electronic device) when the power acts up. For me, it's somewhat comforting to know that the next time the lights go out my computers will continue to run long enough for me to close out my work and shut both systems down without missing a keystroke. Yep, an APC backup power supply is definitely worth the investment, especially if you live in an area where brownouts, surges and outages are a common occurrence. And for those of you wondering....yes, a backup power unit can be used on a television, smart phone or any other small electronic item you may care to protect..

I can rest assure at home, that my electronic devices will be protected when a power surge or an outage happens. I just had the chance to try it for the first time, and its worth its price.
