It's hard to imagine the actual impact war has on the people and places involved. This movie provides a glimpse into that for those of us who are fortunate to be able to avoid the conflicts directly. It is a powerful experience. This is also an excellent demo disc to show off your 4K equipment. The image and sound quality is spectacular.

This six-disc set is the definitive edition with all three versions of the movie in 4K: the original theatrical version, Redux, and the new Final Cut. Included on Blu-ray Disc is one of the best full-length documentaries of all time on he subject of making movies: Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse.

I'm not sure what happened here but after comparing the Theatrical edition Blu-Ray in this package to the Theatrical Blu-Ray in the Full Disclosure edition, there is a definite downgrade in video quality for the HD version of the film. The 4K version of the film mostly looks and sounds great. But I like these UHD/HD combos because it lets me watch my movies almost anywhere, and I hate when the HD BD version is downgraded. The film is obviously phenomenal and the 4K restoration is good but the remastering of the HD version knocks this from 5 stars to 4. Recommended if you are okay with keeping your HD BD version of the film.

The final cut version of Apocalypse Now is great! It combines the theatrical cut and redux edit into a cut that is the best of both versions. Also, the packaging is really cool and includes all the versions on 4k blu ray and regular blu ray.

Apocalypse Now is a 1979 American epic adventure war film set during the Vietnam War, produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola and starring Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall and Martin Sheen. The film follows the central character, Captain Benjamin L. Willard (Sheen), on a secret mission to assassinate the renegade and presumed insane Colonel Walter E. Kurtz (Brando).

This is one of the best movies ever made dealing with the Vietnam war. It may not be a true story but it's greediness and overall display of the war Was brilliantly shot. The cast was superb when the director was already well known for the Godfather movies.

Easily one of the best 4K UHD discs to own in your collection. This movie was filmed 40+ years ago and this disc makes it look as if it was filmed yesterday. This set includes three different cuts of the movie and 6 discs, definitely worth the price.

Having seen the original offering of this movie in DVD, and Blu Ray....I had to have it in 4K being that I upgraded all of my home theater systems to the present technology. Great movie from the 70s and Vietnam era.

Classic film. Shows a demented mind worh the mission given to kill someone with a demented mind. The journey will effect ones mind going through the journey getting to him.

This one is a no-brainer, an incredibly lavish edition with THREE different versions of the movie in GORGEOUS 4K/Dolby Vision/Atmos, plus the full-length theatrically released documentary, and so, so many more extras... AND Blu-ray and Digital Copy! P.S. Also a ridiculously good value.

I’ve seen all the versions of this movie including the making of “movie” that is included, which is called Hearts of Darkness. Do yourself a favor and buy it. This movie holds up very well, and will continue to do so, for being released so long ago. The Final Cut is now my favorite cut.

An amazing film with an outstanding 4K transfer. The packaging is very well done. There's a ton of bonus features including a documentary about the film. Highly recommend picking up this set. It's probably one of the best 4Ks out there.

I'll admit, I bought it on Black Friday at the incredible price of $9.99. I will one day watch all 3 versions of the movie and pick a favorite one. I will only say buy it if familiar with the films. This is the best the films have ever looked. They are in stunning 4k

From what I’ve read, Francis Ford Coppola was so irritated at the sliced frame and terrible quality of the various dvd and Blu-ray releases that he made sure this one was of the highest quality. And that it certainly is. Pick up this classic!

The masterpiece looks even better in UHD. Obviously one of the greatest movies ever made. Between all the extended and Redux versions I have seen this movie upwards of 25 times. I always find something new upon viewing. This is a legit version.

4k presentation: great picture, great sound and great action. This package is the 40th anniversary edition. It contains Coppola's FINAL CUT, the original theater movie and REDUX. Also a bonus is Heart of Darkness video about the making of the movie. Filmed by Coppola's wife.

This 4K transfer and remaster is spectacular! I don't think it's ever looked this good on home video and I'm not sure it could ever look better. This box set has everything a fan could want; must own!

This edition has more than enough content. The 6 disc edition has hours cut scenes from the original version and special features has over what feels like 10 hours of content. The 4k disc feels like new movie. The restoration is unbelievable. Price is worth the buy.

If you're looking to buy Apocalypse Now, this is the only set worth considering. You get all three cuts of the film, blu-rays, 4k, and digital copies. Might be overkill, but a movie this interesting is worth diving through the special features and alternate versions.
