I did not need all the bells and whistles on my iPad. This one is simple and so much like the one I had which was five years old. It took about 30 minutes, most of which was just waiting for the iPadOS update to finish. This new iPad replaces her nearly 10 year old device, which had become painfully slow. Since she mainly uses it for Facebook and web browsing, the A16 chip is more than powerful enough for her needs and should keep things running smoothly for years to come. To protect the iPad, I also got a ZUGU case. It feels noticeably more premium than other cases I’ve used, and the magnetic back support legs do a great job of keeping it upright and stable.

Bought this to replace a several years old 9th generation with a failing battery. It was on sale for a good price before Christmas. The battery life is fine. I use my iPad many hours every day. It lasts a full day for me and charges much quicker than my previous iPad. This low-end iPad has all of the features that I require. Nothing fancy…though I do like the blue color ;-)
