This review is purely for Best Buy's customer service (BBCS), not on the iPad. My order was placed and I was informed it would arrive the next day. The next day I saw from the FedEx tracking number that it was not picked up. After seeing it stuck at their warehouse for multiple days, I contacted BBCS to check on its status. I wasn't in a hurry – I just wanted to know what was going on with the shipment.
BBCS, which has in the past been great, completely dropped the ball. Not only did they say it had shipped (it hadn't – tracking still showed it not picked up), they refused to say anything except "we'll get back to you in three days". That, on top of the existing delay, plus the fact that it was supposed to be here within 24 hours, seemed a bit much, so I asked if I could just get a status update after 24 hours, either via phone, text, or email, even if it was "we're still checking". They refused, saying that was impossible. I said, ok, well just cancel it then.
Apparently that was impossible. I would have to sit and wait the three days, or for the iPad to ship out and arrive, then return it. But they would get back to me at the end of those three days.
I waited a few more days. The three days expired. I did not receive any correspondence or phone calls. Finally it was picked up. The moment it arrived, I initiated a return.
I then went to leave feedback for this whole mess. Surprise! You can't leave any type of feedback other than "website functionality". You have to go through their chat system, then get the phone number, then talk to someone. I went through all that and asked how I could leave written feedback. I was told there is no way other than posting a review or explaining it to the customer service rep on the phone; they said all calls are recorded, and this would be escalated to the appropriate person. I sighed and calmly told them about this whole ordeal (I didn't get angry or loud – it wasn't this person's fault and working in customer service is difficult). The rep promised to get back to me, and we ended the call. I then realized they never got my name, email, or order number. I did list my phone number and name, but unless they went back to the recording to get it, it was definitely just a call that was ignored or discarded. What a waste of time.
I will never give Best Buy another dollar of my money. They used to be awesome, there price matching was great, and I actually preferred them to many online retailers. Not anymore.

Ordered on the best buy website. Order completed successfully. Then I receive a cancellation email. Disappointed that they had it on he website available for purchase. Now im waiting for my money to be reinstated on my card through my bank. What an inconvenience.
