A Worthy Upgrade (for the right user)

Apple has done a superb job on convoluting the iPad lineup. For $599 you can get a 128GB 11” Air, or spend $100 more ($699) and get a 256GB 11” Air. At that point a buyer must decide if the M2-based Air is enough, or if spending just $300 more is better to get the thinnest iPad ever, an OLED screen (vs LCD), ProMotion (120GHz vs 60GHz refresh), Face ID, better speakers, etc. But should a buyer opt to spend that $300 more for an M4, 11” iPad with 256GB SSD, they are getting one of the best iPads made since it was introduced in 2010. Thin, light, solid build, beautiful screen and blazing fast. That is what $300 gets you. Its worth the price of entry, and unlike the M2-based Air, should easily last 6-8 years in a life-cycle, while the M2 is a chip already two generations old.

I love this iPad in every way possible. It is so light, so thin, so fast its amazing how much this iPad can do in such a small amount of room. This is great for the elderly and infirm that may have difficulty holding heavy objects, to have an iPad this light and thin and the power is amazing for those ones that struggle with daily task and may need a device that can assist in that. That being said the battery life is amazing.

Exceptional Piece of Hardware for Everyone!

Wow! The Ipad 11 M4 was an amazing piece of hardware but now that Ipad OS 26 has been released it can almost really be a Macbook when paired with a keyboard. I have a Macbook Air but I definitely grab my Ipad 11 M4 first! I can do anything I normally do on my Macbook Air M2 13 inch with my Ipad Pro 11 M4. Not to mention, when creativity hits me I can simply start a project directly on my Ipad without losing a beat. I have Procreate / Adobe Fresco / Affinity Design 2 and Photo 2 / Luminar Neo installed and this Ipad just flows with no sign of lag! Highly Recommend to add the Apple Pencil Pro at time of purchase if you do any creative work. You won't regret it! Streaming my favorite shows and movies is a breeze. The Ipad Pro 11 M4 is soo good, I don't see needing to upgrade for a long time! Pros: Extremely Powerful and Fluid. User Experience is blissful! Cons: Literally None

This is a great device. It was just updated to the Apple Intelligence IOS 18. It has the latest M4 Chip with 256gb and OLED display. This should last me a long time. It is very fast and has Face Recognition which is a first for me. It works great and was easy to transfer all my apps and files from my IPad Air with the M1 chip. This is an excellent piece of gear.

As far as using the tablet, as a tablet, I don't have any accessories yet, it's 5 stars. I gave it 4 stars because it is expensive and imo Apple Care is a must for it so add that in. Good news is Best Buy had it on sale. I got the 11" Pro b/c I wanted a tablet, not a laptop replacement. I wanted a really nice display and I thought the 4 speakers would sound a little better than 2, and it comes with 256GB storage standard. Which I need because I have a fairly large music collection I like to keep on device for travel, no need to use wifi if I just want to listen to music. I wasn't prepared for the speakers, something this thin and light shouldn't sound so good but it does. I always connect my phone or my old Lenovo tablet to a BT speaker when listening to music or a Podcast, but the Pro honestly sounds better! Battery life so far is really good a couple of days in my use. The display is obviously bright and amazing and Apple does color really well so it's realistic not overly saturated. I plan to get the Magic Keyboard, or maybe Logitech, and the pencil. In a few months once the iPad Pro itself is paid for. I usually shop for value, but this time I splurged and I'm glad I did. Well done Apple!

I've owned a bunch of tablets over the years – from the original iPad back in 2010 to a couple of Android slabs that gathered dust after six months. But the **2024 iPad Pro (13-inch, M4 chip)**? This thing isn't just an upgrade; it's a paradigm shift. As someone who juggles freelance graphic design, video editing on the go, and light coding, this iPad has become my daily driver, replacing my laptop more often than not. Bought it in November 2024 right after the M4 refresh, and three weeks in, I'm hooked. **Performance That Leaves Desktops in the Dust** The M4 chip is absurdly fast. We're talking neural engine speeds that make AI tasks (like generating art in Procreate or running local LLMs) feel instantaneous. I edited a 4K timeline in Final Cut Pro for Touch with zero lag, exported in half the time my MacBook Air M2 takes, and even played around with ray-traced games in Resident Evil Village at 120Hz without a hiccup. Multitasking? Stage Manager lets me pin four apps side-by-side effortlessly, and the 16GB RAM (on the 1TB model) means nothing crashes, ever. Battery life? A full day of heavy use (8-10 hours) and still 20% left – perfect for road trips or coffee shop marathons. **Display: A Work of Art** That Ultra Retina XDR tandem OLED? Holy cow. Blacks are infinite, HDR pops like you're in a theater, and the 1,600 nits peak brightness means I can use it outdoors without squinting. At 13 inches, it's the sweet spot – big enough for immersive drawing or spreadsheet wizardry, but slim enough (just 5.1mm thick) to slip into a backpack. The nano-texture glass option (extra $100, worth every penny) kills glare during sunny hikes, and the 120Hz ProMotion is buttery smooth for scrolling or Apple Pencil sketching. Colors are so accurate, my Pantone calibrations match my studio monitor pixel-for-pixel. **Build & Portability** At 1.28 pounds, it's lighter than my old 11-inch Pro, yet feels premium with that aluminum unibody. The new Magic Keyboard is a revelation – trackpad is MacBook-level precise, and the function row actually makes it laptop-viable. Thunderbolt/USB4 port means fast external SSD transfers or 6K monitor chaining without dongles. And the Apple Pencil Pro integration? Hover detection for precise inking, and squeeze gestures for quick tool swaps – it's like the stylus reads my mind. **Software & Ecosystem Magic** iPadOS 18 nails the big-tablet experience with better windowing and custom app layouts. Apps like Affinity Designer and LumaFusion feel fully realized, not "mobile-lite." Pair it with my iPhone 16 for seamless Handoff, and AirDrop files fly between devices. Privacy features? On-device Siri processing keeps my data local, which is huge for client work. **Value & Nitpicks** Starting at $1,299 for the 13-inch, it's not cheap, but the trade-in program shaved $400 off my old iPad. Storage jumps in big increments (256GB base feels stingy for pros – go 512GB minimum), and while it's powerful, some desktop apps (looking at you, full Adobe Suite) still lag behind Mac versions. Oh, and the speakers? Quad setup with spatial audio is immersive for Netflix, but at max volume, it's not quite home-theater thumping. If you're a creator, student, or anyone tired of lugging a laptop, the M4 iPad Pro is your ticket to freedom. It's not just a tablet; it's a portal to getting real work done anywhere. I've already prepped one for my partner – 100% recommend. Apple, you've outdone yourselves again!

Not many bad things to say about this. Upgraded from a 1st gen iPad Pro of the same size and couldnt be more happy. The screen clarity and color is amazing and the fact it displays HDR video from both a iphone recording and my DJI Action 5 is a HUGE plus! Color representation on the Oled screen does well and is very accurate. The battery life has been great with all day use…even with the brightness turned up. Light weight and easy to travel with just as the first generation. Definitely recommened and awesome the price is still very affordable.

I've owned a few iPads before, and this is the absolute best one I've had by far. Perfect in every way. I use it for rhythm games (among lots of other things, work and play alike) and the performance is fabulous. The price is uhhh, well let's be real. It's not cheap. And it's probably a bit overkill for most people's use case and needs. But if you are a heavy tablet user, this thing is among the best of the best. I've had it almost a year now, and I still love it as much as the day I bought it (it's literally sitting in my lap right now lol)

I am really enjoying the iPad Pro. The display is so good. I was trying to decide between the MacBook Air m4 and the pro m4 and do not regret my decision to get the iPad. I do feel like it is a must to get the magic keyboard. It makes the iPad way more useful. I know it adds quite an expense, but I feel like it is worth it. If you are a student or need to do a lot of work on a computer, I would probably go with the MacBook Air, but I do not need to do that. The benefits of the portability of the iPad and playing games make it worth it to me.

I’ve had this iPad Pro with the M4 chip and OLED display since launch, and it’s easily one of the best tech purchases I’ve made. The screen is stunning with deep blacks, crisp detail, and noticeably better than older LED models. Performance-wise, it’s incredibly fast. The M4 chip handles everything I throw at it without breaking a sweat. It’s also shockingly thin. Even with a Logitech keyboard case, it still feels lightweight and premium. The camera is solid for quick shots or video calls. It is not DSLR quality, but totally fine for everyday use. My only gripe is iPadOS. The hardware is powerful enough to replace a laptop, but the software still keeps it from reaching its full potential. That said, I’ve used it for work, school, and everything in between, and it hasn’t let me down. If you’re looking for a fast, beautiful, and versatile device, this is it. Just know it is still waiting on the software to fully match the hardware.

Unsecured and super versatile in everyday use for just about everything from watching a simple tutorial to working on a full project. Definitely a great buy and a very powerful piece of technology. The battery life is great even with a keyboard case. Apart from that the specs meet my everyday needs, large enough screen without going overboard with the 13in iPad. It’s perfect to draw and model. The camera is great for take pictures of an item with clarity to 3D model it. It’s super fast and reliable.

I originally bought this device with the intention of using it for note-taking with my laptop. I was blown away by the crispness of the display, the 7+ hours of battery life I can get having multiple apps open, and seamless compatibility with the Apple Pencil. It's an excellent device for college and as a secondary machine.
