I purchased the 12.9" version primarily for Artwork creation. I had previously owned a Wacom Cintiq Companion, which was pretty awesome for Artwork, however I found that it was a little cumbersome / heavy when traveling. Also, I am not a big Windows fan as I have converted to Apple products many years ago... Although the iPad Pro does not allow for Desktop App installation, there are plenty of very serious apps for Art creation on the Ipad. Also, with the help of an App called Astro Pad, I am actually able to use my iPad Pro with my desktop, just like a Cintiq. I really like the Apple Pencil, it is actually a better feel than the Cintiq pen, and with the help of a Matte screen protector, I was able to get the same feel of the Cintiq surface while drawing / painting. In addition, I purchased the Apple keyboard and with the help of MS Office 365 and cloud storage, I actually am using this as my Mac Book pro replacement for weekend trips. In addition, the battery life is decent, especially in comparison to the Cintiq Companion. Only real gripe I would have with iPad Pro storage is a little light at 256gb with no means to upgrade, however since the apps are relatively light compared to desktop versions of software, there currently is plenty of room. However I can see over time, storage possibly being an issue. All in all, I am a very happy with my purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in a reasonable alternative to a Wacom Cintiq, who does not require desktop apps. Can't compare it to the Surface, however based on the Surface's size and Microsoft OS, I will take the iPad Pro any day.

I bought this as an open-box item at my local Best Buy and was very pleased with this product, from the start. The only disappointment was Apple releasing another (smaller) iPad Pro shortly after this device that was faster and more capable. However, I enjoy the larger device for my job in real estate. I love Apple products and enjoy tying in my personal enjoyment with professional use.

12.9 inch screen is great! Works well with my photo editing apps. iPad is still ideal for consumption and making progress on the production side of things. The 12.9 inch screen can be a little cumbersome for those using it primarily for email and surfing the internet. Highly recommend handling one in store first before purchasing to see if it's the right size for you.

The screen is large and brilliant. Fast, and perfect for what I do with it.

Bought for my husband to use during traveling to watch movies, FaceTime, etc as he didn't want to lug around his MacBook. Although I think it's huge it's is really nice and great for media. We have a lot of Apple products so we pretty much love the OS system, product design and versatility of the iPad line. He likes it so I'm happy :) I like the pen that goes with it as well.
