I wanted to have a much smaller and lighter machine to throw into my bag on days when I didn't have to do heavy programming work. I was thinking I could use the iPad Pro for casual note taking in meetings, to SSH into some remote dev machines on the days when I needed to get some work done without my Surface Book and to use it for light Bible study with Logos. The LTE is one huge advantage that the iPad Pro has over Macbooks and Surface devices and was another draw for me. Not having to fiddle with a hotspot was a HUGE plus. Unfortunately, this thing has become most useful as a third monitor for my desktop at home. Why? Well, as an SSH client it lacks ... an ESCAPE key. Crazy, but there's no escape key in iOS. No page up / dn, etc. on the keyboard either. How a $1200 tablet is missing a feature that every dumb terminal I have ever used has is beyond me, but that is what Apple has done. Second, it is painful to reach up to the screen to interact with the screen. A trackpad would be a much better pointing device. The OS is a bit buggy. On occasion I lose keyboard input. Not sure why, but forums seem to indicate other people have this issue - but iOS 10 seems to have solved their issue. Looking forward to that. With Word and doing Word processing - the lack of a trackpad on occasion gets in your way. Split screen doesn't work with ALL apps so if the app you want to split the screen with doesn't support it - you are unable to work efficiently. Also, you cannot open two Safari tabs side by side. Crazy. Yes. But true. iOS 10 will fix this it sounds like. Lots of apps do not take advantage of this screen size - optimized for the smaller iPads instead. So lots of apps just look fuzzy and ugly. The pencil works great! Better than the Surface Pen, except for the charging bit is a bit awkward. But it gets pretty decent battery life and you can charge it up to a useful level in under a minute. Overall - it is WAY too much money for these kinds of issues. I was seduced back to iOS because of the LTE, but I should have gone with a MacBook or a Surface. I already have a laptop so I thought this might be better. Lesson learned.

After excruciating research among the heavy-hitters of the tablet world, I decided on the iPad Pro 12.9. I couldn't be more glad to have chosen this along with the Apple Pencil. I am no artist but I do take tons of notes and the 12.9 inch screen in its lightweight body offers tons of versatility. Apple's native apps such as Notes, iBooks, and even the native PDF viewer offers tons of easy to use note taking tools.

I've had my ipad pro from the very first day it was introduce by apple, I've not once have I had any problems or complaints about it. Now is the time for me to update. I love the new ipad pro for the faster spead and the new 4K screen . . .

This iPad is nothing short of amazing. The display is crisp, design is sleek and weight is minimal. Paired with an Apple Pencil is the best note taking device I've ever used.

As I'm getting older, I needed something bigger to read with. This fit the bill perfectly. I bought the 128 GB for me as the 256 was not available. Not that I'm having storage problems. The display is sharp and vibrant, and the sound from the quad speakers was a pleasant surprise. I haven't tried the pen yet but will update when available

I love the 12.9" iPad Pro!! It's fast, light-weight, and I can view an entire document without having to enlarge it. Great purchase!

I love the new iPad Pro. I kinda wish I would have gotten the smaller size after using it for a full day, but it’s a great size if you do any lettering or designing. I’m still really satisfied with the 12.9.

I wish I had purchased the new larger iPad when it first came out. I was concerned about handling and carrying a large device. It is not a problem at all. I am very impressed with a multitude of features on this device. The clarity of pictures and videos are outstanding. I also appreciate the amount of storage available. This was an anniversary present to my husband. The only problem is our anniversary bliss, has turned into fighting over the new iPad.

I was skeptical about buying this tablet. However, it has exceeded my expectations. The battery life is phenomenal, getting work done is extremely easy. The ability of get my texts while I'm working on my tablet is awesome as well. I use this for college and note taking is a breeze. I absolutely love it. Paired with Microsoft office, this wo Is perfectly as a laptop replacement. However it is not a full Operating system.

Good camera only wish there was a flash on it also very easy to use hold a good charge

It's fast, light, looks great, sounds great, and is convenient to use.

I own an iPod iPhone iPad mini regular iPad and now the jumbo iPad. I do use them all for different reasons surprisingly.. but this jumbo one finally takes the cake with being able to turn it sideways and use two apps at once is awesome. It's very fast with email and internet.. I can get a lot done more quickly now.. I think it's the perfect size..

I had one of the very first IPads where 64 g was all the memory you got and it was so heavy. This new IPad Pro is so lightweight and the larger size makes it easier to see what I want to see and do. I love it and do recommend it to anyone who has an older IPad or never has had one. So easy to use.

Absolutely love this thing, I also purchased the ZAGG Case that also is a Keyboard, It pretty much looks like a Macbook Air! It's super fast, reliable. And has plenty of space. Can't complain about it, It's everything you would need in a tablet.

This is the best iPad I have owned. I have had just about every version and the pro has the best sound and picture quality I have seen so far. The large screen makes it great for streaming movies and editing pictures. It is a great iPad.

I have been playing with different size tablets for reading magazines and newspaper. That is the bonus. As a drawing platform it is a nice size to see my art as I create it.

It was time to upgrade the iPad. This was a great move. Larger...heck, yes! the screen is almost as large as some computers. Fast & easy to use. A great product.
