Have owned PC for 20 years bought my first Mac, a laptop in January and loved it so much when I needed to replace my desk top got the I Mac and love it. Apple Service and support is outstanding but I love buying at Best Buy because the guys that work there know there stuff and it is not as crowded and they have more time to explain things to you. Apple's telephone support is the best I have ever used. Buying a Mac is definitely worth the money. Best Buy was so good about answering questions before and after buying it. I would definitely buy another Mac and would buy from Best Buy.

It works great, start up is so instant it makes no sense to try to tell how long it takes. The only problem I have had is that sometimes it says no internet connection found and I think that is somehow related to my router. But, even then it only takes letting it find it again, but its sometimes annoying. I wouldn't trade this mac for the highest priced and fasted rated pc built. I never knew there was this much difference between pc and mac. Now I have to buy the wife an apple laptop or tablet to replace her current laptop. Dont let anyone tell you there is alot to learn to be able to make the switch from pc to mac. I didn't take any tutorials and use it just fine.

After twenty-five years of using PCs I decided to switch to the Mac platform. One reason is I have an iPhone and iPad and wanted to link them all. Additionally I was tired of paying high prices for PC software and it's updates. I had heard Apple was more expensive but by the time you factor in the software this is the least expensive computer I have ever purchased. And I've owned close to a dozen PCs. I am extremely pleased with the iMac. Works beautifully and a delight to use. Very powerful, tremendous monitor and does everything I want and more. i have compromised nothing by switching from PCs and gained a lot. I will never buy another PC again!

I've owned Macs for years and finally decided to bite the bullet and get the iMac 21.5" with Lion pre-installed. I was a bit apprehensive about it having Lion rather than Snow Leopard due to probable software incompatibilities and didn't want to have to buy all new software. I also upgraded the RAM to 16 GB for almost nothing!!!! make sure you do that because it's cheap to do so right now and there's no excuse not to. The computer is fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend anyone wanting a Mac to get his little powerhouse. DO NOT get the Seagate 3 TB external though because it will crash the Lion finder requiring you to restart every 15 minutes! Instead, get the WD 3 TB and experience problem-free computing with your new iMac! I've had almost no software incompatibility issues either! I chose the 21.5" over the 27" for home use largely because of the price difference and just didn't think it was worth an extra $600.00 for a couple of inches of monitor space. I'd rather get the external drive and upgrade the RAM. Get one, you'll never look back! I use mine for photography and video primarily and it's outstanding for that!!!

This is iMac is our first Apple computer. Over the last several years we have been disappointed again and again and again with numerous other computers. We have tried multiple manufacturers and each time no matter what something goes wrong. Whether it be a virus, a defective screen, a blown electrical component, bad windows updates, software collapses, or cheap hardware something always seems to happen to our computers. So a couple of months ago we decided to spend some extra money and go big in the form of this amazing iMac. I just can't get over how awesome this computer is. From looks to performance it has it all. While we wish they made some products a little less expensive it really comes down to you get what you pay for. With this machine I am able to run multiple programs while listening to music and watching and editing videos and photos and it never skips a beat. For those who have been on the fence about buying one or not do yourself a favor from someone who has owned Toshiba, Dell, Gateway, Compaq, E-Machines, and HP's BUY A MAC you will be so glad you did!

I switched over from windows and i don't regret it a bit this computer is amazing I've had lots of expensive windows computers like the alien ware mx17 and the asus G74sx witch were good and had core i7 and 1TB or HDD but i have to say the mac is better with the i5 and 500GB of HDD also i will never get i virus so thats it really the only thing i have to get used to is that there is no right click but it doesn't bother me much

This is my first Mac and it's better than I expected. The graphics and performance are amazing.

Computer seems very well made with lots of preinstalled programs. I especially like the lack of a tower, although having used only lap tops for the past 20 years, maybe all desk tops are one integrated unit now. The hardest thing for me is going from PC to MAC. I am not particularly tech savvy, and being older and nearing retirement, maybe switching at this late date was a mistake. But I got an iPad last August, and loved it so much, I decided to make the switch. Both of my kids and my brother use MACs, so if I can ever get them to do some teaching, I may come to think as highly of MACs as they do. But for right now I am continuing to use my iPad along with my older PC based laptop with intermittent attempts to be the old dog that learns new tricks.

Added wireless trackpad as well. Previously owned a Gateway from BestBuy for 6 years. Multiple visits to the geek squad. We wanted something more. Tired of working on a PC all day and all night. Switched to iMac after using multiple Apple products. It knows how I want software to work. Easy and quick.

You should pretty much know what to expect going in on a Mac. But if you need a little something, I would say this newest version's selling point is the screen's picture. Everything you do looks amazing. If deciding on a size, I would go with the 21.5" because you under estimate how large it actually is until it is in your office or room. I use mine primarily for internet and music recording. I had a tough debate on PC vs Mac for recording, but I'm happy to say I made the right choice. Everything is very smooth and SIMPLE. I like to be stress free when recording. You can apply all of that to picture editing and video creation. The software for each of those hobbies can turn into a full on cinematic masterpeice. If you're deciding on making the transition from PC, I'd say go for it if you're a basic computer user because you can still use word and excel and you'll get used to the system very quickly. If you're looking for recording, picture editing, or video editing, there's no question (non-bias because this is my first Mac). For previous Mac owners, I can't really help you unless it's been 5+ years since your last mac purchase. In that case, buy one and get back to why you enjoyed it in the first place.

This is our second iMac, the other one was purchased in late 07. The people at BestBuy were very helpful and easy to do business with. The iMac is so much easier to work than a Windows based machine.

We got this computer for the holidays for the kids and we've been thrilled with it so far. It runs fast, works beautifully with our iPhones for syncing and has fun tools for the kids to have a good time with such as photo booth. The only complaint I had was that it didn't come loaded with iWork or any word processing etc. I think a computer should come with the tools you need to be successful to actually use it! I did however buy Microsoft Office and we are both thrilled about it.

I shopped around for a while before making my next big computer purchase, after having laptops for years I was ready to give desktops another try. i loved the fact that this was an all in one and didn't take up a lot of room. This was my very first apple computer and I am so glad i made the switch. I considered purchasing the 27" model but after seeing the 21.5" in stores i knew it would better suit my needs and save me a load of money. I just upgraded the ram myself today, took about 2 minutes. Anyone with a screwdriver and a couple minutes to spare can do it and save yourself hundreds of dollars. Just search how to do it. Over all this was a great purchase, Freezing up during editing of 1080P videos is now a thing of the past. Best buy had the best price, and I was able to pick it up in no time. This may be my first apple but I have been working on computers for over 9 years so I'm knowledgeable in what is expected of this machine and it surpasses my expectations. The HD facetime camera is great, perfect for skype and even vlogging. The keyboard and magic mouse are sleek and a great bonus.

I bought this computer for my wife for Christmas. It is used for college, amateur photography, and home use. Everything runs great! I could not be more pleased. I am definitly a Mac user for life. My only issue with my purchase was the shipping. For over a week I didn't know what was going on with my shipment. I tried to call best buy and was hung up on numerous times. Eventually my iMac shipped. We love the computer but I will not buy anything I have to ship to my house!

I,m a tightwad and it took quite a while for me to be talked into buying such an expensive item. So far so good. It seems all expectations have been met. Of course I've only owned this item for a month. Speed and Quality of this computer comes to mind. And its the cheepest one! I hope that my investment will last.

Anybody thinking about getting a new computer, look no further, the IMac is the one. Picture quality is great, sound is great , and its lightning fast. I had computers for a long time, and nothing can come close to the IMAC. Get one you won't regret it for a second.

I have been using pc's since 1996 and this is our first mac and so far it far exceeds our expectations. It is much more intuitive than a pc and so far does everything better that one. We are still in the process of learning it so will get back to you in the future. I can't wait until I replace all of my pc's.

I have gone past the learning stage in my life, I am now 68. But, this Max is so easy and is logical to operate. I wish I had bought one years ago.
