After owning PC's for years, I decided to buy this iMac to round out our Apple ecosphere at home, especially since I'm not a big fan of Windows 8. Since we already own numerous iPhones, iPads, and a couple of Apple TV's, it made sense try out the Mac. The kids use them exclusively at school, so it was worth a shot. Because Best Buy ran a $200 promotion on the mid-level 21.5" iMac, the price was within my budget. I don't use this machine to do a lot of memory-intensive graphics, but it's great for surfing the web, editing photos, and general use tasks. I'm quite happy with the iMac's performance, but I bought an external 256 GB Samsung 850 SSD to boot from. The standard 1 TB HDD that comes with the iMac is only 5400 RPM and struggles when opening multiple apps at once. After loading OS X on the SSD, the performance improved 400% (literally) especially on the read rates. This made a huge difference and is something I'd highly recommend. I formatted the internal 1 TB HDD and store all my photos, videos, and documents. OS X and all my programs reside on the SSD. I highly recommend this iMac, especially if users consider installing an external SSD like I did.

I would not know to pick any "not so good" thing about it. Everything is excellent. It is fast, pictures are perfect, easy to use, perfect size and friendly.

What I like about this computer is the size of the screen and the design. My device pretty easy to use for all and it is fast. It works great for watching movies or videos with friends or loved ones.

As with all Apple products, this is a great machine. The screen is huge and crisp, the processor is fast, and the OS is easy to use. Nothing to complain about.

I could not have made a better choice. Once you go MAC you never go back. Great graphics, easy to use, and no viruses! The wireless keyboard and mouse is awesome. All of the equipment is top notch and it is so nice not to have the burdensome computer tower. The price is fair for what you get and my MAC will certainly outlast 3 or 4 computers of another brand and operating system. I love it!

This iMac is by far the best computer I've ever purchased! So easy to set up and just gorgeous! Modern and sleek lines and doesn't take up much space.

I recently purchased the new iMac to replace my MacBook Pro that I had for over 5 years. I couldn't be happier with the speed, picture quality, and overall functionality -- I have yet to be disappointed with any Apple product. Although it was a slight shock that this computer didn't come with some kind of disc drive, I purchased the external superdrive and have had no problems with it, despite the many negative reviews of it. It's just small and somewhat delicate, which probably makes it easier to damage. Just set it there and it'll be good. Overall, I'm a fan.

I got this for a great price and I'm extremely happy for my purchase. I've always wanted an iMac, but was just waiting for the perfect moment to get it at a great deal. Simple setup and I love how the mouse and keyboard is wireless and there is a lot of desk space since the screen is slim. The functions are easy to use and again, you can't go wrong with an apple product.

I went from Dell to Dell to Sony and many other PC's over the years. After using iPads for a while, I got the iPhone, and with their ease of use I moved on to this iMac and I could not be happier. All my documents now carry with me everywhere I go without having to save in dropbox or other third party storage. I am still getting used to some of the shortcuts on the mac keyboard. But other than that I am satisfied. Speed is phenomenal. Graphics are great. I wish I would have converted earlier!!

I shopped at the Best Buy store and talked to friends and a rep from the Geek Squad and finally decided to upgrade to our first Apple desktop. We bought the I Mac with the 21 inch screen and are very happy. There's been a bit of a learning curve but we're coming along and I love the screen quality, the speed of the machine and the wireless set up. Between the "all-in-1" unit and the wireless connections, our room and the desk it's on look 100% neater.

I have been purchasing mac books for several years now and have found why they are so loved. I went through PC laptops like water when I switched to Macbooks (and yes kicking and screaming) I was sold as soon as I turned it on. I love my macbook but miss the convenience of a desktop. So I did my research and found great reviews on the IMac 21" but still probable spent another month doing more research. I finally broke down and bought it and I am in love. The already installed programs make starting some new creative projects easy. It was was an easy install and had it set up in less than 30 mins. The keyboard and mouse that came with the computer were amazing and that is usually the first thing I upgrade. Not needed here. I did buy the separate super drive but I am still old school and need it, you may not need it. If you want a quality desktop computer that will make you question why you are still using PC go with the IMac it will rock your world... Not sure it will but always wanted to say that.

Even at the entry level for Mac computers you are getting a powerful machine. With a quad core processor and Intel iris pro graphics this computer is capable of running powerful programs and has multitasking support. This is my second Mac and my first one still runs good and is almost 10 years old. I got this Mac because of the great sale during the holidays and just felt like it was time to upgrade to run more current programs.

I've had other Apple products. This is my first Apple computer. There is a bit of a learning curve, after having PC's for over 20 years. This thing is very impressive, and very fast. The picture is amazing. As my son and daughter in law say: Once you go MAC you don't go back.

I am a recent convert to Mac computers, but I wish I would have made the switch from PC to Mac sooner. This computer runs so much faster than our old Dell desktop and we have not had any issues with the operating system. I love how seamlessly it syncs with our iPhones.

I must say it has taken me about 7 years to finally make an Apple iMac purchase! Price definitely scared me but I bit the bullet and purchased one! Best investment ever!!! It runs great and the graphics are phenomenal! I know this will last me a long time & it will come in handy as my daughter uses it for her homework & projects because her school only use Apple computers. Super happy with my iMac!!!!

As a user of PCs for years I researched long and hard over my decision to convert to IMac. I was surprised to amount of quality and capabilities I could get for the price. After opening the box I plugged right in with the only cord the computer needs and set up in minutes. The computer only took a day to get used to as a former PC/Microsoft user. Now I will never go back. I love this computer!

Great computer fast speeds, graphics are very clear upgraded to this from a HP wanted a all in one hated the extra tower that would take up space. I bought the external cd rom drive also because I'm still old fashion and want a disk and not totally digital yet. My hp printer was also plug and play so thankful I didn't have to locate the disk and it installed all the drives for me. Great buy

We've had our fair share of PCs and have been debating on making the plunge to a MAC for a while. I'm so glad we did, it runs smoothly and they don't get viruses. We're hoping this last for years. We also debated between the 21.5 and the 27 inch but chose the 21.5 because of the cost. Once we got it home it looked way bigger on our home office desk than we thought, so it's perfect size!
