I thought I would be receiving a 2020 computer but everything is still from 2019 computer is extremely slow and yes I did update it to Catalina OS. I also bought the new HP 2020 and it works 100% better than the I MAC

Let’s start with the good: It’s an iMac. It will run forever. The faster core speed (3.6GHz) will make up for the lack of RAM for MOST users (non-graphics/video editing users). Incredibly reliable. Screen clarity - freaking amazing. The bad - can’t upgrade the RAM. Hard Drive should at least by a hybrid or Solid state by this time. Technically - you could upgrade the RAM but the days of when Apple had the easy to reach/upgrade storage door on the bottom of the unit were the best. You could quickly go from 8 to 32 GB of memory. Not anymore. What you buy is what you get. And to me this is a huge step backward for the iMac. Having said that - for office work and publishing - this is a great machine.

Have a long lineage of Apple products but this was my first iMac. It's a beautiful, minimalist machine with incredibly easy setup and sync with my other Apple devices. Definitely get the Retina 4K display, one recommendation is that the boot time on the computer is slow, it feels like it needs more than 8GB of memory. Probably not the most advanced machine but easy to integrate if you're a power Apple product user.

I am a long time Apple fan. When I needed to buy a newer machine I looked at the iMac because I thought it would have everything I need, including a beautiful display. It does indeed do everything one would expect of an iMac and the display is indeed stunning. However, buyer beware - this machine is SLOOOOOWWWW. Nothing opens or loads quickly. You will very quickly tire of seeing the spinning beach ball. I expected that the most up-to-date machine would be really fast - not so. I noticed through online reviews that I am not alone and it is apparently blamed on an older model of the hard drive. I am returning this as soon as I receive the Mac Mini I ordered to replace this. I can't stand that spinning beach ball. I also own a 2015 MacBook Air and the MacBook Air is FAR faster than this 2019 iMac. Pretty disappointed.

If you are thinking about buying a Mac, you probably know what to expect. Easy setup, easy use. We upgraded from an iMac from 2010, and this was a breeze. Smaller, lighter, and faster, so no complained. The screen is beautiful. The new USB charging keyboard and mouse are great as well, should be a big battery saver.

This is my first Imac desktop computer. I really love it very much. The picture quality is so impressive and the speaker sound is great. On top of that the processor is fast. I will surely recommend this Imac to all my friends and relatives. I would say the price is reasonable is quite reasonable.

I don’t always subscribe to the notion, “the more expensive=superior product” or “you pay for what you get”. I do, however, believe Macs are superior. They’re brilliantly designed and engineered with quality materials (ie aluminum>plastic). I actually bought this computer for my aging parents because, like their iPads and phones they’re intuitive and easily navigated, unlike their PC counterparts. Sure, the diehards will argue PC’s are superior...so If you want to pay monthly/yearly for Microsoft word ($100 a year) and Norton antivirus ($100 a year) and “save” money on a $200 computer go ahead. Macs are expensive but they don’t nickel and dime you after your initial purchase. All updates are free. I always recommend Mac.

This is my second iMac, the old one was 10 years old and not compatible with current OS. The new iMac is an excellent replacement, easy to set up like all Apple products. Even though it does have a hard drive, it is fast enough for my needs. Best Buy's curbside pickup and shipping to store were great and very convenient. It arrived faster than it would have taken Apple to ship and deliver one to my house. The only issue I had was downloading the antivirus software, but the tech with Geek Squad solved the issue quickly and was very professional. Overall, the product and service from Best Buy is the main reason why I bought the iMac from them. The iMac is a little expensive (the reason for only 4 stars), but that is typical of Apple products. However, they do last a great deal longer than Wintel machines, like my old iMac working without a problem for 10 years.

I have a Macbook Air, and liked it so much I decided to go iMac to replace an aging PC. The only thing I can say, is I wish I hadnt waited so long! This thing is amazing! Beautiful display, fast, and easy to use. One of the best comp purchases Ive made in a while!

My wife and I each have our individual laptops, but we have three school aged children. They’re always using our computers for various school projects and I wasn’t comfortable with that. I realized we needed a family desktop. First I purchased the older iMac, which is almost identical to this one. It worked fine and we were happy with the performance. Then a few days later the latest iMac went on sale so we traded the older model for the retina 4K display model. The picture quality is markedly better and we think the processor is even a little faster. Great purchase!

Wow. What a great screen. The computer itself is not bulky or wires everywhere. It nice and neat and works fast. Apple always has good products. This is a nice computer. Maybe a little too much money but I think it’s worthy

This is my first Apple computer. I'm not a fan of Apple products but this is a fast and powerful computer. I'm still learning where to find things but getting the hang of it. One item I do not like is the keyboard. I like having another set of numeric keys to the right of the QWERTY board and of the ones I have seen, Apple keyboards do not offer this. Another item I do not care for is the mouse. I'm used to a non-Apple mouse and right clicking is lacking. But I do like the scroll feature on the Apple mouse. That's cool. Other than those gripes, I like the bright colors of the screen, the fast start up and the power to run multiple windows without losing speed. For those who like Apple, you will love this computer. For those of you who don't, it is worth taking a closer look, at least.

Apple makes by far the best and easiest-to-use desktop computer for users of any skill level. The display is amazing, and the computer can process information with great speed.

I love iMacs as my workhorse for video & photo editing. The new slimmer design is beautiful. I wish you could mount this, like a regular monitor however that's not a huge thing. Despite everything I love the machine. My only real complaint is that for a new iMac and despite every attempt to fix it, it runs far slower than any other Mac I've ever used, noticeably so. I reset the machine and it fixed it to a degree. Not as good as I'd had hoped but better. I'd still recommend buying one of these for heavier editing needs.

Bought this to replace a 13 year old iMac which had a bad video card (we've since had that one fixed an installed a solid state drive so we have a great backup computer). We had been planning on an upgrade just did it a little sooner. This is our 6th Apple computer dating back to 1990. The 4k Retina display is stunning. Everything runs super fast. Internet is blindingly fast. The only downside is that this uses a platter drive. We will be upgrading with a solid state drive and doubling the RAM. Overall, another great Apple product for our Mac family.
