Apple has came along way i love the new style chargers, the provide more flexibility at the male end to allow for easier use when charging a device and golds up way better than the older types

great flexibility! Similar to gas station quality and texture for one I had as a back up. My other Apple 2m cable was run over by an office chair several times (I mean daily) and one day stopped working. This one was run over recently too (sadly) but it still works. Never going to let it be on the floor again but it's good to know the flexibility in the cable is able to protect it. Also, I don't really l like how easy it is to bend it. Not sure if that is conducive to a long lasting cable but my gas station one is still trucking on despite being stepped on several times. I think this one will be okay, just need to take good care of it.
