Simply the most beautiful screen I have ever seen. Fast, sleek and worth the extra bucks. This Mac is a winner.

Best Buy had a great deal just as my wife's 2008 MacBook Pro GPU finally suffered the fate so many others have experienced. Needless to say, she's thrilled with the 5k display and order of magnitude processing improvement. I'm tech savvy enough that I'll upgrade the RAM to max it out at 32GB. Other than the RAM upgrade, it's a beast and will handle anything we'll throw at it. Obviously a splurge but well worth every penny!

This is my first iMac, though I've used and own MacBook Pros. The display on this iMac must be seen to be believed. It is so clear and sharp. The speed the machine boots up with is super fast. I tap the space bar, my login screen appears. Type my password and its ready to go. No lag time with the fusion drive. Programs open quickly. Mouse and keyboard are wireless and very responsive.I love this machine.

Simply put this computer ROCKS!! The display is gorgeous, every image you take with your phone or camera looks incredible on this screen. Try watching 4K content on this monitor. I own a 4K TV and the display on this computer is ten times better than that! If you were on the fence about purchasing don't be. Apple's quality and craftsmanship show through with this piece of hardware. The simplicity of design and ease of use make this computer perfect for anyone especially the photographers out there.

I can write pages and pages about this iMac but I will spare you the time so you can get out and buy one. This is such a pleasure to use. The 27 inch Retina Display is crisp as crisp can be. Easy to use, fast, slick and without a billion cables between the desktop and monitor. Every day I keep asking myself why I kept using the Windows machines all these years..... I definitely recommend.

The 5K iMac is a computer powerhouse. It's very fast and the display is amazing. I am very pleased with this purchase.

The 27"iMac Retina is a very powerful machine. I'm not sure I needed all of its power but I thought over buying might allow me additional time before it becomes outdated. I don't create/edit 4k video or watch 4k NetFlix at my desk but it is a physically beautiful machine and the display really is peerless. I have an iPad and an iPhone but this is my first Mac. I am slowly learning the OS. I do like the gestures on the Magic Mouse, very slick. I don't like how Apple is moving closer to locking out any user performed hardware upgrades. I probably would have been fine with the 21.5" iMac but I wouldn't have been able to upgrade the RAM in a few years as the iMac slowed down. I imagine the next generation won't allow any user installed upgrades so this may be my last Mac for that reason alone. The Apple product integration is very nice. I can send and receive text messages as well as answer iPhone calls on the iMac. I haven't messed around much with the included apps but when I have used them, I liked them. There is a 4k time lapse desktop app called Magic Window available on the app store [$9.99] that is well worth the cost. I may add a Magic Trackpad if the additional gestures it provides look like something I would use. The iMac Retina does everything it promises. If you need all that power than it is worth the substanial cost. ---Kudos to Best Buy for their price matching policy.

This is my second 27" iMac. My first is 7 years old and still in use. Apple has made transferring data between computer sooooo easy and of course the graphics is outstanding for my photo work. With this new iMac I also purchased parallels so that I can use my iMac for programs that only run on windows. Works great and I can still use my mac (love the keyboard) for pc work.

Have used Windows based PCs at work and home since the 8086 days. I am retired now and decided to make the jump to Apple. This machine is incredible. Super fast and comes standard with the equivalent of MS Office aw well as a host of other tools. The clarity of the 5K display is amazing and makes it easy for old eyes. Wish I had switched to MAC years ago.

This is a wonderful Desktop computer. Eye Popping display. Very smooth operation.never had a mac before. I do editing adjustments on large photos. My other computer could not handle it. It was slow and would shut down the program. Now I see my photos with much sharper detail. My editing programs work much faster. I am still learning it. Still have my old computer. The imac will take over. Not a cheap computer but well worth the money.

everything that was said about this computer was true. It just do not get any better that this. I mean the sound of the audio is crystal clear, the 5k retina display is simply out of sight and the speed is superb. Apple has done it again and continue to deliver outstanding product.

If you want a computer with the best resolution you've ever seen (5K), and the power and speed to do any of the heavy lifting you might need for photo and video work, then you've found your machine! An incredible combination of beauty and power.

As this is my first experience with a Mac, I can say the transition has been relatively easy with this particular computer. The layout is easy to maneuver and it interfaces well with my iPhone. The large screen is a little overwhelming at first, but I have quickly gotten used to it. I love knowing that I do not have to constantly update the system and I don't have to worry about viruses like I did with a pc.

The MAC platform is certainly a step up from Microsoft Windows. We purchased the all-in-one MAC over Christmas and my wife found it to be an easy transition from her PC to the MAC. The OS is much more intuitive than PC. The processor is fast and the 5K display is outstanding.

Had to purchase another computer to start uploading and editing my 4K videos. The quad core processor, 5K retina display, and large capacity hard disc with SSD make this an outstanding choice. Ultra fast processing speed and better than raw file display definition are the attributes I needed for my work projects.

I knew going in I wanted to get a 27" iMac. I have yet to be disappointed. The speed is fast, screen is amazing, and it is the apple operating system. I find that I am getting more and more apple products in the home and you have got to love how compatable everything is to each other. After years of Windows you instantly learn how easy and simplified the apple operating system is.

I purchased this have using one at TMCC for a classes in adobe photo products. I was impressed with the ease of use and speed of the machine. I have always eschewed apple product because of their hign price and inability for upgrade or modification and I still have a problem with that part of the deal. It works very well for what I am doing now. I add it to my 6 pc's as a great add-on.

Being a long time iMac fan, I decided to upgrade to the "big brother" version. The screen performance is stellar and the extra screen real estate is a nice bonus. Apple just announced an iMac refresh, but with no significant changes to this particular model. The processor is a bit faster and the keyboard/mouse are now rechargeable. If you can find this model at a discount, buy it.

Fast and powerful and is a wonderful home computer. Retina display is amazing.

I am a PC user but needed to purchase a new Mac for a Graphic Designer at my office. These Mac's are amazing. 8GB of memory on this Mac outperforms 16GB on our PC's. The best selling feature in my mind is the Retina 5k display. The colors are awesome, deep and rich. I was able to buy this one 27" screen and eliminate two 20" monitors that other PC users were using.
