I upgraded from a apx. 7 year old iMac to the new 27" Retina. Our old iMac has done great. I replaced the hard drive and upgraded the memory in it, and it still works well, but was getting very slow to wake up. So we decided to make the upgrade when this iMac was on sale (3.3MHz 2TB). Wow.. This new iMac has an amazing screen. The retina display is much brighter and is super clear. It's fast and wakes up immediately. I use a Retina laptop, and now have the same display in our home iMac. Great machine!

This machine is perfect for an indie editor. It handles all types of media I throw at it. The image is the best I've ever seen, so editing even the most complex picture, is markedly easier. It's all in the details. Apple puts everything in an easy to find place. Easy to learn for newbies.

The computer is everything it says it is. Great display, amazing picture quality and so far in the first 2, 3 months of ownership we have 0 complaints. It has been the simplest piece of equipment I have ever set up. Everything is simple from the very moment you open that box; its packed so very professionally that it just makes you feel and taste the quality you just broke your bank for:)

Price point is a bit high for a product that screams for some updates. Add more memory slots, more USB connections, extended size key board should have a wireless option and the mouse reactions are poor. Learn curve is easy and effective. The screen and computing are five star!

This is AWESOME!!! I stopped using my 4K tv and watch Netflix with this Fast. The size is perfect. 27" is the way to go. 2TB is a great option as well. Couldn't be happier. Keyboard is small & doesn't offer numbers like a traditional but the wireless feature is awesome

I was opposed to the 5k monitor because I realized how low-res my whole life on a computer was. All my photos, web sites, designs were all made for 72 DPI and i thought that would be standard forever. After fixing everything which was kind of annoying, everything became a lot smoother and easier to look at. Truly beautiful colors and I cant look at a display the same. Even though I go back between the regular display from work to home. It's not too big of a difference that it bothers me to work on both. But I perfer the 5k. Besides that which was really a problem for me at first, I enjoy the iMac all in one style. A lot lighter then my previous one and the no optical drive I guess is fine now, although I do encounter times of frustration when I want to throw in an old CD or play a new one. I spend most of my time designing on here using photoshop CC and other adobe products simultaneously and it's worked out great.

Apple keeps its reputation for excellence with the new IMAC. Retina display is awesome,Magic Mouse is fantastic and the 27 inch screen is magnificent. Like all Apple computers it has a great style,is easy to setup and use and has enormous memory capability as well as speed

Screen is beautiful, great full function desk top. I bought it primarily to take advantage of integration with all other Apple products. Screen may actually be too big for a desk top - its hard to get far enough away from it to focus, especially when watching movies or TV.

Easy to use, fast, and powerful, it's is replacing a 2007 iMac I handed down to my kids ( still working) I hope to get the same kind of good luck and length of time with this one. They are pricey but they last and have few issues as compared to windows pc's

Apple's iMac MK482LL/A All-in-One desktop computer is a great combination of visual capability and processing power combined with OS X's simplicity of use. I use it for statistical modeling and graphic/video creation. It is compact for the 27" displays size and is pleasant to look at from both a functionality point of view and a design perspective. I am also running Windows 10 on it flawlessly. I like the redesigned mouse and keyboard more than the last versions (which were also excellent).

I'm very impressed with this machine. Very fast and the screen is absolutely gorgeous.

I was amazed at the look of the 5K at my Best Buy and Had to buy it. Have not had on ounce of regret. A wonderful machine and is the best for my photography business, can't imagine anything out there that would be better. Fast and after I got used to a Mac coming from Windows it has been GREAT!!

My first Mac...still learning but seems like an awesome computer. The only thing I don't care for is the way it organizes your videos but that is with imovie and not the Mac. Love the size of the screen. I would recommend it to everyone with hi ratings

This was a Christmas gift to myself after an awesome year of killing it with my freelance graphic design work. I had been using a 2015 MacBook Pro for all of my graphic work, and it did an awesome job, but I wanted something with a bigger screen, and this iMac definitely fit that bill. I have had it for about a month, and the only time I pull out my MacBook any more is when I am away from home (I've even considered taking my iMac with me a couple of times.....) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the 27" 4k screen. It's nice to still be able to make out detail when zoomed out to view an entire document / design. The picture is great, and in general, it does what it is supposed to do - I just wish it didn't take so long to load larger Photoshop designs. I have upgraded to 24gb RAM (will be going to the max 32gb as soon as I can afford it) and it still takes a bit longer than I would like... but that is probably just because I am impatient. That said, I am not sure how well it would handle extensive video editing, so if that's your thing, I would plan on maxing out the RAM as soon as you purchase / receive it. Otherwise, the stock 8gb RAM works fine for most purposes. Overall, a fabulous computer that I wouldn't trade for the world.

Best computer, easy to use! Stylish don't need a lot of cables to trip over!

I have been waiting years to get an iMac and the day has finally come! & it did not disappoint one bit. The 27" iMac not only looks great in my office, the fusion drive makes such a difference. Everything I do the iMac is super quick and efficient.

I went from a Dell pc to the iMac and couldn't be happier. It was a little bit if a challenge getting used to a different format, but since I use Apple iPhones etc., it came easier. I love how all of my devices are able to sync with my computer. The display is big and clear and I love it!
