It was extremely expensive. But I had to have it. My other one didn't die. It was murdered by pets and a recliner. This did exactly what I expected it to do. I just wish Apple products were not so expensive. But if they weren't, than they wouldn't last so long. Well, were it not for the criminal activities of dastardly band of kitties and the ogre reclining couch. I must protect my virgin power adapter at all cost!

I bought this because I recently lost my charger. I usually only purchase apple accessories for my apple products because I find they last longer than cheaper options. This charger is expensive but in my opinion, worth it. It is compact, a little heavy but has a good length. It is magnetized so it attaches to my computer quickly and has additional length-adding accessories if I need to use them. Great product, wish it was cheaper.

I needed a replacement charger for my MacBook. This works as expected though I feel it is quite pricey.

This Mac book charger works and didn’t have any problems. Wish it wasn’t so darn costly. If you need a backup BB has them .

Had to buy another since i lost mine. Charges my computer quickly but i hate that other attachment it comes with, extra piece that I've never even used. Expensive, but was forced to buy to get my computer chargedbup again. Wish they would do a survey to ask consumers if they ever use that extra piece. Maybe the cost would go lower if they stopped producing it and see that not too many ppl use it at all. Around college campuses and friends, ive never seen anyone using that extra piece.

Charger works great except when your dog eats it.I wish the price was a bit less but Apple seems to know what they are doing because we keep buying their products!

Although expensive, this charger lasts a long time and charges very fast. Just wished it cost less.

The Apple MagSafe 2 is expensive, but we needed it when my daughter brought her Macbook Air home and forgot her power adapter/charger. Works great.

I once had a friend who bought a knock off Apple charger for her MacBook and that knock off friend her charger port and made her MacBook unusable. So I always get the certified made by Apple chargers to avoid this problem. They may be pricey, but they're worth it in the long run if you take care of it. I had to buy a second set because I left one at my parent's place in a different city and didn't want to go back to their place to get one.

My dog chewed my original cord so I had to buy this one. In typical Apple fashion, it’s very overpriced, however it works.

The Best Buy experience was good, but the product is overpriced, wears out (wire coating) quickly, and is replaced by another 'type' every 2-3 years...keeping the price high and forcing people into new products.

This is the 3rd one I have had for my 3-year old computer. The first one (that came with the computer) got frayed. The second one, the rubber coating split up near the magnetic plug. Hopefully this one will last a bit longer. I am being more careful unplugging this one once my computer is charged. Apple needs to do a better job on these - for the price they should last a lot longer than a year. I would recommend this product simply because if you have a MacBook Air, you have to have a charger!

An official Apple accessory, which is over priced, so its the only thing that actually does the job, with the hefty price tag, when against the odds your hardware lasts longer then the warranty but need to replace a wearing down wall charger. So, it gets the job done - but I’m starting to tire of Apple’s constant upsell - or swapping of charging standards. So much electronic waste. Let’s hear it for ‘Right-to-Repair’.

Apple quality. Apple PRICES! This is a necessity but pricey.

First off: it is ridiculous how expensive these things are. Not surprising coming from Apple, but still ridiculous. That said, do NOT try to save money by going with a cheaper, 3rd-party knock-off. They WILL overheat and cause problems for you. I had this problem after buying a refurb MacBook Air. The Apple adapter, in comparison, works reliably and without the risk of burning something.

I was so disappointed when my original charger to my MacBook Air died. The 45W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter with Magnetic DC Connector is a bit pricey, but I wouldn't select anything but an Apple product for a replacement.

Some stole my other charger, had to buy a replacement same day to finish a paper. Honestly if I had more time to spare I would have bought it from another retailer online for cheaper, but this got the job done.
