This works great!!!! I’m surprised they still make these. I saw my other charger has been starting to look destroyed over the past couple years and then it got frayed and about a week later it completely stopped working. Rushed to Best Buy and got a fair price and it works great!

Took a cat chewing through the chord to finally replace the adapter. Not really much else to say.

Of course with Apple, it’s going to be a little pricy but it’s durable and charges quickly!

I'm sure many of you have been through the same thing: buying the el cheapo power adapters off of Amazon and/or eBay, and the things just stop working after a few months (at most). Apple hideously overcharges for their official products, but at least they seem to hold up...so far, at least. It's not worth being annoyed with a charger that you're playing Russian Roulette with. Just get the right one to begin with, I say.

If you want a power adapter for your Mac to actually work, you need to get a genuine Apple adapter. That said, the quality of this adapter is excellent, the price for Apple products is usually high, but you get what you pay for. I have tried lots of off brand adapters and have trouble with every one of them. I have never had a problem with my genuine Apple adapters and I have a few so I can have one in several rooms.

Get the Apple branded one, it's worth it! The rubber insulation around the cable from my old Macbook charger started cracking beyond repair.... after 10 years! I've used the charger daily, and always winding and traveling with it. I'm planning on using this charger for another 10 years, the knock-offs on Amazon are not the same quality.

My last adapter was unraveling so I had to get a new one. It lasted a good 6 years til I had to replace it. I feel like this new one is sturdier than the last since the material feels a bit different but in a good way. I've had this for almost a year and it's still holding up great!

bought this for my imac since i needed one while on the road to edit my son's basketbal videos on the road and forgot my plug. no complaints, it works...what can i say.
