    Though I believe Apple is needlessly stingy with their memory sizes, this iPad is much better than I initially thought and found that I enjoyed the smaller form factor more than I imagined. The larger iPads kind of hurt your wrists after holding them a while and typing on them is kind of a drag unless you have crazy large hands. This iPad is bigger than a phone, but not so bulky as to feel burdensome while relaxing in bed.

    This is my third iPad mini (after gen 1 and 2). The size is perfect for having in the backpack and bringing along for travel. It's easily used on an airplane, or any place where a full-sized device might be tight. This 5th generation iPad mini has a recent CPU (A12) and is very responsive. The screen is bright and nicer than my older gen 2. It's also compatible with the Apple Pencil (gen 1), which I may try at some point in time.
