My second generation AirPods finally died--perhaps pushed over the edge when they went through the washing machine. So all I needed was something I could use to talk on the phone. I don't use them much for music. I was a bit concerned about the shorter length of the newer airpods, could others still hear me as well? There have been no issues at all, using them with the iPhone works great. And yes, I have tried listening to music with them, and they sound great.

So far, so good. This is my very first pair of iPods. I’ve needed them for awhile and they have not disappointed. The upgrades are impressive for the price. I do own some over the ear beats StudioPro and the sound quality is the same as far as noise cancellation. I can’t wait to fully test out the translation feature.

The design of the part that touches your ear is flatter than the gen 3 version, which is superior in my opinion. The sound quality is better and I like the usb-c case as well so if you’re already thinking about getting them, do it. They also have already been on sale a couple of times.

I’ve been using the AirPods 4 for a while now, and they’ve been a solid upgrade. The sound quality is noticeably better than earlier generations — clear vocals, balanced bass, and crisp highs. They perform especially well for calls, podcasts, and music.

The standard AirPods 4 deliver clear sound, seamless Apple integration, and long battery life (6 hours per charge, 30 hours with the case). Quick pairing, Personalized Volume, and USB-C charging are great additions. However, they lack noise isolation and wireless charging, so they’re not ideal for noisy environments. A great choice for Apple users who prefer open-ear comfort
