After using the original AirPods for years and then upgrading to AirPods 2 for awhile, these AirPods 4 with the active noise cancelling (ANC) is a game changer. The sound quality is superior to all other previous versions I've used and now I can use these while on the airplane (as I travel a lot) instead of always using very large over-the-ear noise cancelling ones, and they work very well to suppress engine noise and crying babies! Lastly, given these are shorter than the older AirPods, the microphone for phone calls and virtual meetings work great; and that is whether I am wearing just one or both AirPods together. I definitely recommend these AirPods 4 with ANC over all others like them.

A comfortable alternative to my AirPod Pros. I was issued a set of Pro 3s at work, and they work amazingly well given the sealing pads. But unfortunately, they require that much more cleaning. Since I already had the AirPods 2, I was quite used to having to clean these and I gotta say it’s a whole lot easier without the silicone. That being said, this is the perfect compromise between sealing earbuds and the originals without noise cancellation. The fit is somewhat similar, though I do prefer the longer stems of the old style myself. Regardless, the noice cancellation works well to keep some extra noises out so I can concentrate at work, while keeping my music turned down to a reasonable level. That alone is probably the biggest advantage over the models without ANC: you don’t have to overpower the noise. Simple to use, fairly reliable, and good sound quality. I’m actually not sure which I prefer, the Harmon Kardon system in my car, or these things. Both are equally clean sounding, with just the right amount of bass response. However, I do wish they would come down a touch in price. I’ve already lost another pair of wireless earbuds, so spending this much to replace them makes me worry a bit more about them.

I purchased these after I lost mine at an event. I was glad to get on sale. Music sounds really good and voices are very clear when talking to someone.They fit my ears very well.

Ear buds have noise cancellation so if you are listening to music or having a conversation, outside noise is quieter. The stay in the ears very good and don’t bother me.

Was very skeptical about buying these vs the pros but I am very happy with them. The noise cancellation feature is great. It charges fast and lasts all day. Definitely worth the purchase for me.

I was pleasantly surpirsed by the noise cancellation function with these headphones. Given the lack of a seal, my expectations werent high for this function but when I tried these on it was fantastic. The headphones are comfortable, light, and a great pair of headphones. I especially enjoy the speech function where the headphones lower the volume of the music when it picks up I have started talking. Overall, fantastic headphones and highly recommend!

I love the overall sound quality and the sound cancellation is top tier! The battery lasts forever!! Helps me stay focused when I need to stay on task.

Let me just say – these are a HUGE upgrade. I’ve had AirPods with ANC before, but the fit on these 4th gen models is noticeably better than the Pro version. The noise cancellation is fantastic, really blocking out distractions, and the overall comfort is top-notch. If you’re looking for a reliable, comfortable pair of AirPods with great ANC, these are it. Highly recommended.

Sooo freakin love these airpods! I love the noise cancellation without having those silicon on. I had to give my 2nd generation away cause of how uncomfortable they were in my ears and got these ones instead and loving every use of them!

performance much better than I anticipated. I've owned several series of AirPods in the past, including the first and second iterations, and was all in on the AirPod Pros for their noise cancelling properties, which worked fantastic....until they didn't. Turns out, something with the AirPod Pros triggered severe allergic reactions in my ears which meant it was a a no go on any in-ear noise cancelling solution....which stinks as the over ear brands, while performing spectacularly, tend to take up more space in a back pack and can get uncomfortable when wearing glasses at the same time. So, when I head about the AirPod 4's with ANC and WITHOUT the silicone ear tips, I was cautiously optimistic. I've tried the Samsung ANC beans before and those left a ton to be desired in the ANC performance (I returned them), so i was skeptical that the AirPod 4 would be able to achieve any level of usable ANC. I have to say, I was way wrong. These things perform amazingly well in a variety of environments and do a more than adequate job of blocking outside noise, from a running vacuum around the house, to flying....the AirPods 4 hold up amazingly well and hold their own. I've tested several noisy environments with the AirPods 4 and my AirPod Max on ANC and while there is a difference in the performance between the two (as their should be), it is not in my estimation significantly appreciable of a difference. The biggest difference I'm noticed between the two is the battery life while using ANC. The Max will last through two full cross county flights, the AirPods, not so much...maybe one cross country flight. But nevertheless, color me impressed. Sound quality is an improvement over prior versions and I really like the ability to charge these wirelessly. My one complaint, and it applies to all versions of AirPods, when will we have the ability to paint them to more than one device at a time

Very comfortable, excellent sound, and charged last for hours.

Good little earbuds start to hurt after a couple hours but besides that they aren’t bad. The noise cancellation and transparency are super cool though and also the adaptive noise is nice. There’s also a conversation awareness mode that’s good when your around people but sometimes I forget to turn it off and when I hum along to the song it turns it down in my ears!
