Version 2 actually is an improvement

I have noticed that connecting between devices is much faster and I have less issues trying to connect from one to another. Also the detection when I remove and double tap a pod has improved. I did get the wireless case over the standard case, but as much as I love wireless charging, the price difference between the two really isn't worth it.

The battery life is good and they charge pretty quickly. My only complaint is after long wear I find them a bit uncomfortable. Overall though they are great!

He just had to have the latest as it came with a wireless charger. You still have to charge the charger, but as long as it’s charged and you need the pods recharged on the go when there is no outlet, then this version is what you’ll want to get. Honestly did not notice any other change beyond that between the two versions.

Apple always makes great products

They make a beautifully designed product but are very much overpriced. I own an iphone/macbook and now these. I knew what I was paying for. They are not technically worth the money but the ease of use and design do make up for it. These new air pods are great. I cannot comment on how they are different from previous ones since this is the first time owning them but they do the job.
