The set up utility is not working correctly and will not let me connect to the existing WIFI network. Instead, it is trying to create a new WIFI network and will not finish setup until completed. Pretty expensive products, you would expect a better quality...

The absolute worst.... I brought it back to have the geek squad determine the issue. The light started to blink yellow with the fan running non-stop. They ran diagnostics and said oh it is okay. (ahhh NO it's really not). So, I took it home restarted it, and wow the yellow blinking light and fan started up again just like before. Nothing was fixed obviously. At that time it was still under warranty, Geek Squad kept saying it was fine when I would ask for troubleshooting assistance or replacement. This went on until a replacement was no longer an option. I AM STILL VERY FRUSTRATED and ANGRY ABOUT THIS SITUATION and LACK OF HELP... I still have the unusable time capsule, every time I look at its in the box, I remember how Best Buy did not honor the warranty, and the extra I paid for Geek Squad help. I would give negative stars if possible.

I have always loved apple products, but this item needs to go away and never return. Purchase a WD cloud drive or the cloud mirror and have less aggravation.

I'm an Apple fan; (the devices, not the fruit, lol) and I can honestly this is the worst experience that I've had with any of their products. I literally have all of them... The first router that I purchased consistently dropped signals, regardless of where I was in the house. I work from home, and the last thing that I need is to constantly see that little 'reconnecting' from my VPN. Fortunately, I got the GeekSquad protection and I took it back, and the new one worked flawlessly for 6 months. Apple no longer lets Best Buy sell the Geek Squad warranty, so now I have to take this thing to the Apple store to get it repaired, which is time consuming and aggravating. I can honestly say that the auto backup up is the only thing that works as described on this. This product costs too much to have the consistent issues that I've had with it. My recommendation; use iCloud as a backup. This works great in theory, but the functionality is truly disappointing.

Piece of junk and I'm Mac from head to toe. Unless they've improved, I DO NOT recommend this item.

My MacBook Pro only has a 500Gb SSD, and it was getting full. I looked at that as an opportunity to put a NAS device on the network. I was persuaded to buy this by the Bestbuy salesperson. Got it home, connected to it - really simple with a Mac, more of a pain with a PC, but we got it done. Transferred some sample data. 200Mb took almost 30 minutes. I can transfer that amount to my AWS cloud server in seconds. Giving it the benefit of the doubt... it might be the wireless signal in my office.. I connected both this and my laptop to the router using a CAT6 cable. If anything, it ran slower. It's now back at BestBuy - otherwise, I'd spend a lot of money on an ornament.

I just purchased the 2 TB Apple time capsule. I needed a little help installing it Best Buy said I had to actually bring the thing back down there to them because it was a hardware issue. I called Apple and they don't even offer tech-support on The product Best Buy sold me. Thanks guys. Geek squad so let me down, they can't even do technical support over the phone? Are you kidding me? I felt like calling back because obviously the person gave me bad information. Almost a week later the thing is still sitting there in my living room turned collecting dust.

Good if it work but not the best .Return for dead completly after two week use . But I can't ..??? Don't know why ,have to contact Apple store and now still waiting for a replacement..my concern about : service is terrible at bestbuy
