Improved range and stability of wifi network. Great for back-ups and file sharing not to mention the huge 1 TB capacity. Very easy set-up, the software found everything automatically.

When I upgraded my modem I also upgraded my router to a top of the line ASUS router. Sadly that router kept dropping my 5gh connection. I decided to try this router because I had a good experience with a previous airport extreme. The experience with this latest Airport Extreme is the same...great! No complaints. It keeps 3 computers, 7 tablets, 4 iPods, 3 phones, smart home devices and 2 set top streaming boxes blazing.

....on what you are looking for! This is my second Apple wireless access point. The first still lives after 7 years of use, but I upgraded to get more spead. I use to run other brands, but they would all suffer untimely deaths after a year or two. I've been an IT guy for 16 years and have worked with all brands of access points there are. If you're looking to geek out and tweet every possible setting bad flash different firmware every other week, then go with the competition. If you like simplicity and absolute reliability, while giving up some tweekable settings, go with the Apple wireless access points. I fix stuff all day long, so when I come home, I like things to work. My coworkers prefer to geek out, but at the cost of having to reboot their equipment all the time and get support calls from their family on a weekly basis. I prefer the functionality and hands off nature associated with most Apple products...It reduces stress. It's true with most Apple products, so it all depends on what you're looking for. I have had absolutely zero compatibility issues with my PCs or Linux systems and have done nothing to "add compatibility". Not sure why some have reported Windows incompatibilities, but that's likely a driver issue...

I have waited for several years to upgrade my wireless system. This year with many others living in our residence we realized my old wireless couldn't handle the load. We upgraded to the Airport system. We especially liked the dual wireless networks available, one for guest and one my private system. Plus the added feature of data storage closed the deal for me....fast, easy setup and extremely satisfied....

It took me a couple of tries to get it installed properly but wasn't really difficult. I can't say that I've noticed a faster connection but it is more stable than my previous router.

After doing a lot of research, I finally decided on this Airport Time Capsule. Including the time it took me to unpack it, I had it running in about 10 minutes. I ran a speed test and I am getting the full FIOS speed I subscribe to, something I was not able to achieve with other routers I've tried before. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase. A bit pricey but worth it. Oh, and the time machine portion works great as expected.

Very happy with my purchase. Wish I would of bought sooner. Easy set up. Improved wifi range. Time capsule and time machine work great. No more having to remember to back up.

I had a 3rd gen time capsule but the transfer rates over wifi were 10-12mbps. This gets 22-26 Mbps consistently @ close range. I use my time capsule as a NAS mor than for time machine back ups. It is kind of expensive but if you consider the Ac router and simplicity it's worth it for me.

I am an apple fanboy so go ahead and bash. I look this router, easy setup, added two airport extremes to bounce all over house and backyard. sleek looking. My one beef is that it's hard to get to work with xbox (NAT issues, if you're a gamer you know what I mean). Other than Xbox and could be a little less expensive, I think it's an outstanding product. Works seamlessly with all our apple devices and I have 5 in the house.

This external hard drive is some much more than that. It is easy to use and once set up you do not have to worry about backing you stuff up, it does it automatically.

Couldn't be happier with the new Time Capsule. It is an AC wireless router that also performs automatic backups of our MacBook Pro 13 inch retina display laptop (wirelessly). Seamless operation. Every time we connect the power adapter to charge the laptop, the Time Machine automatically performs its back up. Extremely cool and requires no remembering to do the back up and no wires. Apple makes great products and Best Buy is the place to buy them! Don't hesitate, it is worth getting.

I grew increasingly frustrated with weak wifi signal depending on where I was in my house. I decided to get a separate router after reading lots of posts about the generally poor quality of wifi from routers provided by cable companies. Boy has this router made a difference. I now have good wifi throughout all rooms plus on my deck (which was barely worth trying before). I can verify that the ease of setup and stability Apple is known for is correct. I also had no backup before and that brings some peace of mind as well with the Time Capsule.

This works great as a wireless router. I get a strong signal all through my house. It also works great as a backup for my files. It does it automatically. I love it.

Huge amounts of storage, backup, built in wifi, your own personal cloud. Cool looking Apple monolith to park in the corner of your room. What more do you need?

The wifi signal on this is great. It is easy to setup. The backup feature is unmatched when paired with time machine.

This router never disappoints. If you have Mac computers, it's the easiest and best way to add wifi network to your home. It has the best range and speed and the internal hard drive makes backups automatic and invisible. When upgrading to a new hard drive, nothing is easier than just installing the drive and then "Restore from Time Capsule Backup". Works for me.

I was looking to upgrade my wireless network and add some more storage. I added this time capsule, and within 5 minutes had extended the network and my speed increased noticeably. The backup takes less time than it used to, and so far I have not had any of the problems I had with my old airport express base station.

The time Capsule was easy to install, connect my wireless devices to, and is much faster than my other router. Not to mention, tons of storage. Great buy.

decided to update my back up ability for my mac and this was super easy to set up and had an added feature of a guest network for added security love it

The time capsule is great. It works as WiFi router with AirPort Extreme and also is used as an external hard drive with 2TB to back up your computer.
