Easy to use, functional addition to a tech savvy home

I'm very pleased with this product. It was easy to set up & works great.

I purchased this thinking it was an external hard rive but its not. I am a photographer and work with thousand of files and uses external hard drives due to the fact it would take up all memory on my computer. This is my 1st mac so I assumed the sales person knew what I was talking about. I'm sure it is a great product but I returned it as it was not what I needed.

I hate to say this but this is the first Apple product that I have had problems with. When it's working, it works amazing but it turns itself off constantly and I have to unplug it and plug it back in. Apparently, this is a known fact as documented in various online forums. And also seemingly expected by Best Buy customer service when I exchanged it for another one. So, I'll give this one a try and hope for the best.

Bought a Mac and this on the same day because the Mac comes with very limited internal memory. I've experienced a few problems with this router pushing signal at slower speeds than the non-Apple router, but I guess the auto-backups makes up a few points for this device. Still haven't really figured out what my benefit is to having a this for backup over just using the iCloud, but it is another device I can say I have.

I am glad I purchased the Apple Airport Time Capsule. I got one large enough to back up my new and old computers. It's large enough with enough capacity for my large archive of photos. I have all my wireless devices networked to it and operating from it. It's great!

Love my AirPort Time Capsule. I am very pleased with this device. I purchased it, because I have thousands and thousands of photos on files. I have had my old pc break down and some photos have gotten erased. I now upgraded to a MAC air and now I'm pleased to say I don't have to worry about ever loosing them again when saving them to this time capsule.

Is easy to use and a great feature to have at home

In May I returned the 1st device that was purchased in Jan. The 1st device was Geek Squad certified refurbished product bought on-line. It looked new but it never seemed to give me good wireless coverage even in direct line of site 12-18'. In May I purchased a new apple MacBook Pro and continued to have slow downloads from the capsule. I verified poor performance with a downloaded RF Signal Meter App and using several other wireless devices and older wireless routers for comparison. Best Buy phone support agreed to exchange the capsule if I would go to the local store. However, the local store only had new devices and would not do an even exchange. I had to pay about $100 more for a brand new one. I also forfeited the money paid for the Geek Squad extended warranty on the old device. Their system would not allow them to sell me a new Geek Squad extended warranty for the new device nor tack on the prorated coverage onto the new device. I've been using the new capsule for a couple of weeks and it works flawlessly, giving great thru-put especially on 802.11ac/80 bandwidth and I would recommend purchase of an all new unit from Best Buy. Note: The Signal Strength & Range Testing must not be part of Geek Squads certification process. Be careful to quickly identify any performance issues with any refurbished device. In my case, the Best Buy extended warranty provided relief. I would recommend this product as it works well in wireless mode and as a great backup device.
