I purchased the new 2TB Time Capsule the first day it arrived in the Apple stores. Set up was quite easy, even though I had existing routers on my network. The airport utility on my Mac instantly found the time capsule and proceeded to set it up. The first backup took most of the night to complete. I previously used a USB2 Hard drive to do my backups, and I knew that backing up over a network would be slower than a USB device, but I was surprised by how slow it was. Incremental backups seem to take about 10 minutes, where my USB drive was typically less than a minute. It seems to take some time to find the hard drive on the network, and then prepare the backup for download to the TC. However, I no longer have to keep my USB drive plugged in, and remember to properly dismount it each time I take my Mac on the road, so all in all I'm happy to live with the trade off of slower backups against the benefit of never having to remember to connect/disconnect my hard drive to accomplish a backup. Overall I'm very pleased and would recommend the TC for anyone who wants a simple set and forget backup solution. It also seems to function quite well as an access point, with a very strong signal even when I'm on the third floor of my house and the TC is on the first floor.

Had a carrier for over 10 years and over the last two years had to have our modem replaced at least five times. Finally got fed up with carrier and changed to a different carrier plus added the Airpot Time Capsule. Wow, what a huge improvement! Wish we would have had the Capsule a long time ago. This little thing is awesome. It can store many pictures on it to free up our computer’s storage. I would definitely tell anyone that is having problems with their WiFi to invest in the Capsule. It’s amazing.

supper easy setup, as soon as I connected at my house I noticed my a high increase in internet speed and I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

Extremely easy to setup and has been working flawlessly since installed. The range of signal seems to be better than previous wireless routers.

As with most APPLE products; "It just works'. This holds true with this Base Station. It was so easy to set up, and was up and running quickly.

The router is excellent with great speed. Also love all the devices the router can handle at once. The hard drive is just an added bonus.

This router was a breeze to set up and all devices connected quick and easily. The time capsule automatically backs up all my content.

This Time Capsule is amazing! Gave me extra storage space, backs up my computer, and boosts my Wi-Fi! Unbelievable! So worth every dime.

1 it is a very good router with good signals all devices work immediately with wifi - I have win 7 & 8 PCs, macbook, iphone, iPad, android tablet and wireless printer. 2 usb printer worked perfectly I was able to share an old usb printer to give it some use 3 storage is great and works for windows Pc too if use router IP address 4 did all setup on iPhone - very straightforward 5 for the price you get a best router and 2T storage which is not bad at all. You perhaps pay the same if buy a drive and good router separately

Love the fast internet and automatic backups. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was I was able to set up a bridge between my existing router and the time capsule easier on my iPhone. I almost gave up working with my macbook pro!

Love this router, setting up is extremely simple and works well with all my devices, macs and pc's. Excellent range and ease of use.

Very easy set up and working like I knew it would. It is backing up and helped with my internet speed immensely.

I was able to easily set up my Time Capsule as my new base station, and then set up my old AirPort Extreme to extend my Wi-Fi network.

I bought this to go along with an iMac that I purchased on Black Friday. I live in a three story house and wanted something that would have great range. Well this does that with ease!!! Have a great signal everywhere!!! I put the iMac and this base station on the third floor so maybe that helps being up so high. Only reason I gave it four stars was difficulty at start up. It wouldn't recognize my modem on start up so I couldn't establish a network. Called Apple support and did a hard reset and now it works great!!! Use multiple devices at the same time and all connect and work easily. Can get a little slow sometimes but I honestly think it's more my internet service(dsl) more so than the device itself. Haven't tried the back up feature yet.

Used different product before. This one does what it says and easy to set up. Very happy with the range and quality also!

I bought this having 3 Apple computers and needed a place to back them up. It has been great so far and the wifi is a plus!

While it is a bit pricey the Time Capsule does a great job of providing both a backup capability and Wifi routing function.

After reading mixed reviews still decided to go with it. Not disapointed, only had it a few weeks though. Noticed a bit of increase in speed with our wireless. Definite increase in range from our old net gear router, get a signal in the back yard approximately 100 feet away, going through a couple of solid walls in an old house. Really like being able to automatically back up to it. The set up was incredibly easy. All in all so far so good and very happy with the purchase.
