I got the Best Buy refurbished model 802.11ac 2 TB Time Capsule for $169. Couldn't pass it up at that price as I was considering getting a new AirPort with 802.11ac. Came in the box with some sort of sticky residue all over it. I was able to remove most of it with alcohol wipes. Under the light, you can see marks all over it (which bugs me but could be expected), so I'll probably never buy refurbished from Best Buy again. As for the actual operation of the router, I plug it in and AirPort Utility doesn't find anything new. It appears the Time Capsule wasn't reset to factory defaults (a fairly easy procedure that you think a company would want to do before reselling a product), so I did it myself, then was able to set it up, pulling my settings from my old AirPort Extreme. Seems to work great. The wi-fi seems to be stable and reliable. Have it set to back up my MacBook Air to it. I know this router doesn't have a lot of extra features and customization, but I don't need that. The setup and management of this router is simple and easy to understand, which I consider a feature itself. Would definitely recommend if you want a wireless-ac router that you can also back up your Macs to and/or use as a file server, although if I were to order it again, I'd go with Apple refurbished instead of Best Buy. It probably wouldn't have been as sticky.

Great refurbished product. However, would have appreciated some instructions in the box. Had to go online to get set up information. That being said, it was easy to set up. Came on line quickly. Upload and download WiFi speeds increased significantly from my previous Linksys router. Very happy. Great savings buying refurbished.

I needed a storage solution for my home and with 2TB's of space and the ability to expand my wifi this was a no brainer. I have a mac ecosystem so set up was a breeze. Works well as a router and as a back up solution. I got the geek squad refurbished unit it was a bit dirty and it looked like the previous owner had some stickers on it as there was adhesive gunk on the casing. Over all great product I would recommend.

Was hesitant about purchasing a refurbish but not anymore. This Apple - Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Airport® Time Capsule® 2tb Wireless Hard Drive & 802.11ac Wi-fi Base Station - White is great. Easy setup. No instructions provided but found on Apple site. Has improved my network speed more than 3 times and to have a 2 tb wireless hard drive is a plus. Very dependable.

I was hesitant to buy a refurbished device after reading very few negative reviews but I took a chance and boy am I pleased. The unit itself was in very good condition, hooked it up it was already configured so I reset it back to factory defaults and the setup was really easy. I've been buying Apple products for the last 2 years and I now know why people love Apple so much, I'm a new fan and I've completely switched from the MS world to Mac World. For $199.00 I am beyond happy right now. Thank you Best Buy!!!

I purchased this because I'll be switching to a mac, mainly because of the extra storage. I was floored when I realized how fast this thing is! I'm including a screenshot of my download speed. This is on my iPhone 6S connected to this router of course. And YESm that's 134Mbps download and 23.86Mbps upload. Ish just got real.

I purchased the refurbished 2gb Time Capsule to save $. It was packaged nicely and was in good condition. It does have a couple small scrapes on it but I can't see them from my couch! Set up was very easy on my MacMini. Time Machine works great for my backups. No issues. 5ghz wifi speeds are excellent. Range is very good but slightly less than my Netgear Nighthawk. Wish it had four ports instead of only 3 but, most routers only have 3 so can't really ding a star for that. Met my expectations and would buy again. Simple to set up and just works! No dropouts like I constantly had with my Netgear. Save a bunch of cash and try a refurbished model.

This is great router and network storage. Easy setup and range is much better than other routers I have used. I have many wireless devices connected and no drops or speed issues. This product was in perfect condition from Best Buy even though refurbished. Highly recommend this router and Best Buy.

Best router on the market in my opinion plus it comes with a hard drive built in. I have my first time capsule from when they first released and still have it bridged I just wanted to update to one with ac wifi and more memory

This is my 2nd one I loved the first so much I Boone for my law student daughter. The backup is auto so I never have to remember to backup and the router is 2x or more faster then the one leased thru time Warner. Also the range is far greater before this device I had to use a extender to get internet in my backyard by the pool and know I'm online outside with plenty of speed. Great purchase !!

Works great as a wireless data storage and backup. The bonus is using it as wireless router as well. I am pleased with the product. It is as good as advertized

I've only delt with Apple routers at home for the past few years but this was a decent upgrade and transferring over from an older express was amazingly simple. I'd recommend it for people who don't know much about networking or people who don't want to be bothered with a bunch of setup.

This replaced an older WAP. It took little programming and provided additional network storage.

Skeptical at first but after researching we decided this would be worth our investment, Best Buy offered a refurbished unit at a good price with a warranty. It’s very easy to set up, use and blends in with our decor. With the internal memory and ability to back up our other Apple products made this investment a home run.

I was a little hesitant to buy refurbished but I took a chance. Package came in, it was well packaged, the device a little scratched. Had to do a factory reset and couldn't believe how easy the set up was. I'm relatively new with Apple products and understand why they are so well liked now. I definitely recommend taking a chance on refurbished, it hasn't failed me yet.

Geek Squad certified refurbished is far different than Apple's refurbished standards. yes the device works flawlessly. But unfortunately it is scratched up and does not look new. This looks like it was a floor model or it was rolling around somewhere... How do you scratch up your router? So weird.... Most people don't move around them much, so I am baffled how it got so dirty and scratched up. But I can handle a scratched up dirty router because most most of the time I am not holding it... And the price was significantly less... I just wished they were more honest about what it is, and not calling it refurbished... Maybe a better description would be: Works Great, Still has limited warranty, but it is used.

Perfect companion for apple computer. Would not recommend anything else for an all in one device for time machine backup and wireless router. Good coverage from all areas of home. Bought as geek squad certified and looked new. Set-up was fairly easy with on line help from apple support as no documentation supplied with device.

Bought the Airport Time Capsule during a refurbished sale at Bestbuy online. Got it for the wifi only but quickly setup the Time Machine backup on my MBP. It's been rock solid since the day I installed it. Never had a need to reset the unit. Also the Airport Utility app works great for changing settings such as DNS.
