I needed a strong range router due to dead space in children's room. Spoke to several Best Buy employees and most consistant recommendation was the Airport Extreme. Primary reasons was ease of set-up and range. This was about the most accurate recommendation anyone has made. Set up was a cinch and as far as range goes in a far away room I was getting 8Mbps with a range extender I now get 95Mbps with Airport Extreme alone.

After reading many reviews, most people kept on raving about how it was very difficult for them to reset the router so that the last owner's profile would get deleted. It took me all but 10 seconds to press the small button in the back next to the power input with a pen and voila! Had a brand new router. My speeds increased by triple AND the range got better. Best Purchase I could have done

Unit came ready to install and looked great (like new). Installation of course was a breeze and within a few minutes it was up and running. Just transferred data info from older station to new one. A snap! The performance is exceptional and compared to a neighbors recent purchase of a competitive product, functions much better. Better range and faster performance.

I love these - I have my whole house covered (3 levels) with one of these on each level; one master, one wired to it and the third over via wireless bridge. Set up and controls are easy via the airport app. Stock up on these before Apple stops making them anymore. Ironic, since others like Netgear are now copying the form factor and simplicity of bridging.

This Apple AirPort Extreme was listed as certified refurbished, seemed like new. Very easy setup. I had used an Airport Express as an extender, didn't need to after setting this Extreme up. It's blazing fast and trust me, if you have other Apple products, they just work better... and they work better together. Definitely would highly recommend.

The reputation of these units is well deserved. I wanted one last time I bought a modem but was unwilling to part with the $2000 and got another common name product, which workd for 4+ years before it became unreliable... so looking for a replacement I found this refurb unit for about my proce point and decided to take the risk on a refurb. I knew Apple always uses great componenets, so I figured if it works, it will probably continue to work for a long time. What a difference! Strong signal all through my (admittedly small) house and reaches to my car in the driveway and into my back yard to listen to Apple Music while I work.Never drops a signal! Wish I had sprung for this in the first place. I'm going to attach my backup HD to the USB port for Time Machine backups. What else could you want from a router? Wired outlets are as expected.

I've had multiple Airport routers and this is the best one yet. The speeds are amazing and it was super simple to setup. If you have a house full of Apple gear this is a great router at a great price. The quality of the refurbished unit was perfect. It looks and functions like brand new.

This AirPort Extreme is lighting fast. I've had zero issues with it and have had great experience with it. It was purchased around the holidays so it was a great buy. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their previous generation AirPort Extreme or Express.

Huge house and this really helps spread the wifi connect to the whole house. Easy to set up and have had no problems with in so far in the first month of using it

I believe this is going to be a great product for our family. It was very easy to set up and all of our other Apple products were quickly recognized and connected. I enjoy the ease of sharing our printer with this device. It was a bit tricky with our last router. Since the router is in a different location than our previous one, I am not sure if we are getting the same signal strength or distance. I will need to place the router in the same location as our last router to test if the change in location is the cause of having a weaker signal in some areas.

You do not need to read the directions to set this up just download the airport program and it takes it from there, signal is excellent. Only complaint the led green light is so bright I had to put a piece of electrical tape over it to sleep.

By far the best router I have ever own. I have yet to reboot this router from any performance issue since day one. No connection drop-out and excellent Airport Utility software for Mac and Windows.

After my third router that didn't perform as I wanted not did they have the range to cover my homee. This router not only has the range it also has the strength to provide fast downloads or streaming anywhere in the house.

Apple WiFi base station works perfectly. A major improvement in comparison to my previous Netgear device. Installation is very easy. The station tells you what to do and before you know all is set and working.

I use Linksys CM3008 modem with this wifi router. Working great with Apple airport extreme Base. The only trick to set up is, first set up Apple router without connecting the modem and once you get green LED on the router, then establish the connection between modem and router. Meanwhile, you can update MAC id with your internet service provider. Best Buy sold this item as refurbished, but when I run product warranty coverage I came to know that the product is 18 months old. BestBuy should have sold it as 'Used.' device rather than Refurbished. Also, the device was not reset properly. I should have asked refunding some amount. I have doubt that BB would allow publishing my review.

This has been the easiest set up! Had and have no issues with this product even though it was refurbished! Will continue to bring this to every home I have. Connection is always at its best.

My fist time experiance buying an air port product was great it actually works, for example before i had the extreme air port my apple tv which is located (bedroom, through walls) exactly 35 ft away from my modem would take along time for any download to process even if i wanted to see a preview of a movie and was worst when purchasing a movie from app store, now with the extreme airport is fast with no more buffering. the only small detail that it has is some scuffs around the product sometimes you wonder what people do to no big deal unless your'e one of those people like to have things perfect with no scratches around your products but electronically everything works...

I used this base station to extend the wired and wireless network. Apple base stations are easy to setup and flexible. This reburbished router works just as good as the present router for less money.

I bought the refurbished unit but unfortunately bestbuy's ability to clear the previous owner's info was quite lacking... so I had to clear that info... if you use iOS airport utility app and follow setup instructions it the router may not show up, I tried and thought I had gotten the broken unit everyone had complained about, however when I went to my macs airport utility the airport showed right up and setup was a breeze. THEN it showed up on the iOS app. So try your computer for setup if you're having difficulties. Other than the setup mishap, this thing works great! And signal and bandwidth speed are excellent!!!!

Excellent coverage over the entire house. Easy to install. Even able to set up two different channels - secured and for limited for guest.
