My only surprise was that it did not come with a charging "box." I'm not sure if this is standard from Apple, but luckily we had others to use in the house to charge the iPod.

Hooked up box, saw 1st screen asking to set language but remote was dead in the water. Returned next day and got Apple TV 3. Everything works including remote.
