    Great New iPad!

I visited my local Apple Store and played with new gadget for a few hours. Very light and thin. It feels so much different from the original and is much more snappy and fast. The internet works so well and very quickly. The Smart Covers are so much fun to use and are great to protect/clean your device. They don't add any bulk or weight to it either. While the camera's are not great, they aren't terrible. Unless your a professional photographer, these camera's will work fine. The screen resolution may be the same as the original but it still amazing. I reserved this new iPad 2 (32GB, Black, Verizon 3G) at my local Best Buy and cannot wait to pick it up!

Still a great tablet, even after ipad 3

Frankly, it's an Ipad. I have owned this for over a year and used it often for play (not allowed to use it at work). I primarily use this to video chat on Skype and Facetime with family, but also use it for notes and gaming. All around thus far, this has been an excellent tablet and I have chosen not to upgrade to the ipad 3. The 3g has been handy in very particular situations- apartment hunting, looking for local restaurants. You shouldn't NEED 3g unless you absolutely have to be connected to the internet for some reason at all times. Plus, this thing is pretty easy to use for beginners to the tablet industry. If you do purchase one, you will find it is much easier to find accessories. I currently have a leather case for it, along with a magnetic cover that has to be used separately. There is some pretty neat gear hitting the market for Ipads. Accessories for other units are not nearly as numerous as your options with Apple due to the gravity of the Ipad's sales. That being said, there are two things which irk me a bit about the tablet. First one being that while the screen keyboard for typing is good, it's not really great for heavy typing situations. I own the wireless apple keyboard and they make an excellent combination, except that the bluetooth is a battery eater. My jawbone that I have used to privatize skype conversations has done the same thing. Also, the non-support of flash can be a pain when you are used to using a PC. I thought I would be able to get past this initially but it can be kind of a hangup. If you are an android phone user like me, be warned that google and apple don't play nice. This is not a significant issue now but may hamper things in the future. You may want to stick to an android tablet for compatability and sync safety in the future. All around, the Ipad 2 is a great tablet, and will continue to be a useful asset in the future to me, even after the Ipad 4 and 5!

I've had my iPad 32G with Verizon 3G for a month now and am very impressed with it. It's easy to use, fast internet and has now completely replaced my home desktop computer. I gave Hughesnet the boot and cancelled my service with them. This Verizon 3G is much faster than Hughesnet. For what I do with a computer there's just no need for a home computer. I can surf, email, etc easily on the iPad and can do it from the comfort of my Lazy Boy chair rather than sitting at a desk. This iPad goes everywhere with me. The number of Apps available is mind-boggling also. I got the bluetooth wireless keyboard by Apple to go with it, making it the ultimate in convenience. I'm new to Apple/Mac but can tell you right now I'm sold on them and intend to go Mac on everything in the future eventually. I plug in my Bose headphones and I'm in heaven!

    Pretty cool device but...

IPAD 2 is a cool device for what it is- a highly portable screen for web, email, videos and games and probably music. Pros: Great picture quality and touch screen. Easy to setup and connect to Wi-fi networks. My model has the option for pay-as-you-go Verizon access when no wif-fi avail. Tons of apps including Netflix to entertain you. Cons: - I'm not an Apple devotee so I missed some of my Android screen functionality. (No option or menu keys or even "long press") Basically you can only select what is onscreen- so if there isn't an option or menu button that's it. (kinda like only one mouse button and no keyboard for ctrl or option buttons functionality) - Calendar does not allow using a separate calendar such as Google or Office so basically dead to me. - Screen picks up skin oil likes it's desperate for any liquid! Installing a screen protector fixed that but does dull the screen some. So nice cool light computer but I wouldnt want to write long emails or docs on it!

    Great tablet, HOWEVER...

I purchased my iPad 2 a while back and I LOVE IT! Originally, I purchased the iPad as a mobile business tool for invoicing and other mobile business needs (i.e. Square Reader) and I love it. I docked a star on Screen Quality because I saw the new iPad yesterday and WOW what a screen! I'm going to wait until summer to upgrade though. Also, the Verizon Wireless 3G is VERY SLOW! Coming from AT&T on my iPhone my phone bests Verizon's 3G by almost 2x the speed. I'm really interested to see if the new iPad really does hold it's battery life with the 4G though. If so, you've got a winner. If you're contemplating Android or iPad, don't event think twice - I know plenty of people with the Android tablet and they spend more time googling (irony maybe) problem fixes than using their devices and many of the apps I suggest they cannot find. Hope this helps. PS: if your business requires use of a camera (i.e. mine for scanning barcodes - definitely go with the new iPad as the camera quality makes a difference - this is why many apps exclude barcode scanners for the iPad 2 - the camera quality was too poor - docked one star on features for this). I also recently went back to school and am using KNO, PDF Expert, iTunes U, Notability, and other various apps and it's been a GOD SEND for school - boosted my grades in all my classes by at least one letter grade. I would highly recommend a BAMBOO stylus for business/school use - more expensive, but definitely worth it!

The I-Pad 2 is an awesome product!!!

Great pic quality, good sound, but a bit over-priced!! When u purchase your 3G network which is either AT&T (who no longer offers the unlimited usage by the way, & reception is bad) or the one I chose: Verizon; you pick how many GB u want. Prices are $30, $60, or $90 a mth. I chose the $30 one & it's not anywhere near the amount I need as a casual user, which astounded me to say the least!!! If u go over then it's $10 per GB. During the day I connect to wi-fi which is even worse that I've gone over. I have heard that some people have been charged even though they're connected to wi-fi, so chech your usage hours often. Other than the pricey monthly charges, the product itself is very nice. You just SHOULDN'T BE AFRAID TO USE IT! Suggest getting a high quality screen protector also.

Have previoulsy owned the Samsung Galaxy Tab. There is just no comparison. Apple's iPad 2 processing is much faster. Screen resolution is far superior. Apps are outstanding. Battery life is tremendous. Over 10 hours no matter what you do with it. Great Product.

I love this product! My husband bought this for me as a Christmas gift. I also have the Nook Color. The IPad is made for the web! I can do so much more & quicker than the Nook. I use my Nook for mostly reading. I wish Apple had made this with a USB port & memory card slot. This has great battery life & great screen quality. I am a Youtube lover & videos often stall & I still think this product is over priced, which is why I didn't purchase for myself. But as I said, I still love it!

I purchased an 32 gig iPad 2, Verizon Wireless. I use the iPad as my calendar, to monitor e-mail during the day, to link to the Internet, and as a photographic portfolio. I have more than 2,000 photographic images stored in my iPad. It has been a dependable and useful tool. The design is solid; the screen is superbly sharp; and it has sufficient memory for every application that I anticipate using. I hope that Apple will someday choose to include access to Adobe Flash-based content on the Internet, but this is the only drawback that I have encountered. I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend the iPad 2 for your consideration.

I had researched the iPad and other tablet computers for roughly 6 months and decided to buy this one. Overall it has been a great experience and has worked very well. I decided on the Verizon 3G model because I do a lot of travelling and need the connection if wireless access was not available. Somethings I would recommend is that you will need to purchase a case, screen protector and some earphones.

I have been a MacBook pro and Mac desktop user for a few years, So I finally asked Santa for an iPad. A life changer in terms of convenience and functionality. My smartphone is taking a back seat, and for work I no longer carry a paper notebook. Frighteningly simple to use and set up. Perfect quality. A little pricey, and the FaceTime needs a strong wifi signal, and doesn't seem to work at all on 3 G. 3G service is also a bit pricey- don't get this unless you really need to stay connected while traveling. Battery life is outstanding. IPhone is next!

I chose the 32gb 3g model. The following advice covers the 3g model. When you make your choice between the various models be mindful regarding the additional associated costs if you choose 3g. Verizon recently removed the $20.00 month-to-month plan. If you use WIFI most of the time, you may not need 3g, and can save $100 plus a $30.00 month-to-month. Remember, It all adds up by the end of the year!! Sure it's nice to have 3g when you need it, but I really wanted to keep my costs down. Those who choose the 3g model will say they want it because it is true that once you choose your iIpad model, you can't add memory, etc. later. Since it is month-to month however, you can stop the data service and only sign up when you think you will need it for that month. For those who decide they don't need 3g, the WIFi works very well on all models.

It helps me stay in touch with the office and life at home as well as a relative in the military overseas! It's light and feature rich. There are only a few things that need to be improved on from a business perspective, but all in all it's great...from a PC user's perspective. I have recommended to many.

I love the thing. It will be great for traveling, rather than carrying a laptop around. The only downside is that it has to be closer to my wireless router at home than any of my laptops. The range doesn't seem to be as good. Otherwise, great screen, lots of good apps, really a great machine.

I'm a PC man, Apple computers are a NO NO for me, however I get my first iphone some years ago, and I fall in love with it, so easy to use, so many features. Then couple years ago my son give me an IPAD for my birthday, inmediately became mi favorite gadget. Now I upgrade to the Ipad 2, because it is even better, the cameras back and front, slim thin a beauty. I did not use my notebook for a very long time, all I need is my Ipad 2. Thanks Apple.

I am enjoying the iPad 2. This is the first time I have had an iPad and I don't know much about them. There were no directions included in the package to tell you how to get started with the iPad. You can download the manual and user guide but those items still down answer some of the questions I have on how to do somethings on the iPad. Great for internet & gaming.

I really had a hard time deciding on the Samsung or the I-pad both were 10in and both looked great. I looked on all sites I could find to see which was the best and I ask a lot of people. I found out it was 50/50 so there both about the same. Both the android and apple pats have about the same things and about the same number of free ones. That being said I bought the I-pad because I have a Mac BOOK PRO. and I love my I-pad it my books , my appointment book , my to do list , GPS , keeps all pictures my weather station, news station not a day goes by that I don't use it. the 3g is good because I'M out a lot and not around wifi all the time.
