Customers value the iPad Air's ease of use, light weight, and screen size. Positive feedback also highlights its excellent battery life and good performance. While some find the price high, a lack of expandable memory and a USB port are also cited as drawbacks.

A great iPad for the price. It's not the latest generation but I don't need to pay hundreds more for a few extra bells & whistles. Utilized the sale & reward certificates to get a good deal. BestBuy had timely shipping as usual & I'm a satisfied customer.

I played with the "air" at the store and thought it was great. I needed something to replace my iPod and was strongly considering the mini with retina display because I did not want to pay the extra cost and was unsure of the full size iPad. The deal, which looks like it passed, was to good to pass on the full size air. I basically got it cheaper then the mini. Keep your eyes open for deals on Monday the 2nd and hopefully you too can save some bucks. I am still going to watch deals incase they have some on the mini's and I can decide which one I want, but will be more then happy with my air if I miss them.

Bought this iPad for my wife for Christmas. She had an older model, but the upgrade at the sale price was worth it. This model has Retina Display which the older model did not.

Daughter wanted a tablet for xmas and we've been using the iPads since they came out. She didn't need the latest and greatest and it was nice to find a previous generation at a decent discount. She is loving her present.

Bought this for my husband. He loved my mini 2 but his hands are too big for it! The iPad Air was the perfect fit. I love that you can count on Apple's operating system to do what it's supposed to do. Never lags, no glitches.

I think the retina display is vivid and gorgeous and it is much lighter than my old iPad 2. The battery does seem to drain quicker though.

First I own iPad 2 and 4 and Samsung Note 10.1 2014 edition.
I like...not love...the new iPad Air as it is faster both in operating the software apps and graphic intensive apps. The apps continue to be fantastic for all the pads not just the Air.
Apple did a great job on the weight but FEEL STRONGLY THAT THE NEW SCREEN IS NOT NEARLY AS BRIGHT AS MY iPad 4 NOR DOES IT EVEN FEEL LIKE GLASS.
As I type this review on the Air, the "cheap tapping" feel of this glass leaves me wondering how durable this glass is. It feels thin and makes a tapping sound not found on the more solid glass on my other two iPads.
Oh I am keeping the Air for the faster processors but feel Apple has put out a product whose screen will not be as durable as prior pads.
I can see it flex when I push down on it with minimal effort and have some light distortion when I press down like old type LED TVS.
Apple over prices their products because they can and really did so on this iteration of their iPad. In my estimation the glass feels like plastic and the brightness is much diminished when compared to my iPad 4 and so must have a higher profit margin with all these cost cutting that resulted in a new iPad that for all practically purposes is just faster but not as solidly built as prior pads.
Time will tell on the screen and maybe this is the way all tablets are headed to achieve the weight reduction and thinness. I love the ability to hold the Air in one hand comfortably for much longer than any of my current tablets. I am OK to sacrifice the glass quality as long as the touch screen does not suffer or long term screen reliability.
I wish Apple would splurge and include a 6 foot charging cord...OMG $600 for 32GB and the cord is so short still after all this time...lol.

We purchased this for my 69 YO step father for Christmas. This was his first iPad and apple product. Moving over from a laptop. He has sight issues and being able to zoom up quickly is helpful to him. He loves it!

Has been perfect solution to a hubby who has nothing but problems with all computers and tablets. So far not one problem since setting up for him on Christmas eve.

I currently own the iPad2 and it is still working great. I purchased this iPad Air for my daughter for school. The graphics and sound quality are fantastic and the lighter weight is a plus. The apps that can be downloaded assist me in regular classes, lectures and meetings.
Yes, the price is more than other tablets, however, I did a price match and used reward point to bring it down a bit and from past experience it will be worth it.

Years Later....Still an iDevice

The iPad Mini is a great device with a huge app library and hours of entertainment; great battery life and portability. The screen is beautiful. The device doesn't fail on this front at all. Still though, after years nothing has really changed. The speaker is weak, no expandability, poor cloud support, limited use for work and no active digitizer.. The iPad is the seasoned vet of what a tablet was years ago, since then things have changed.

Light years ahead of Microsoft

Because iPad is the King of tablets all the content providers bring their best content. I have lost patience with Microsoft, even after getting windows 8 they do a terrible job of allowing Apps to update and are now trying to play catch up and copy Apple. The camera is phenomenal, if you aim at one or two people the smart chip instantly frames the faces into focus. Reading is a joy. Most stuff is free.

I store an entire volume worth of wine reference materials on my iPad. It allows me to pull up and zoom in on detailed maps. As a Sommelier, I can access tons of reference materials in a slim, durable, beautiful casing.
When I'm not using my iPad as a encyclopedic reference, I use it to surf the web, watch movies and music from my iTunes collection, check email, stream music, and a host of other functions.
I've had mine for over two years now and I can't even begin to express my satisfaction with it. The iPad Air is so well designed and just a good value overall. I have a 32 GB model that works well. Got it for about $300 a few years back and I consider it some of the best money I've spent on electronics. I use it every day on the subway to read the NY Times.
Yes, other models are faster, but I'm not doing anything intensive with this thing. Only downside is space. I wish I had more. I would love to upgrade, but I can't picture this guy breaking anytime soon so I'm stuck. Some problem huh?
If you can consider it a bad thing, it's almost too reliable. Just a great machine that I simply love. Make sure to buy a case. I have Apple Leather Case and it's done a great job protecting it.
Worth $300 in October 2016 in my opinion.
