I bought this as a gift. Compared to my old iPad 3 (Retina), it was a massive improvement in performance. I couldn't wait to get one for myself. Then the iPad Air 2 came out. The Air is still a great tablet, and the reduced price tag makes it a great purchase still. But if you have the money for the Air 2, go for it. I thought the Air was fast, but the Air 2 is faster still.

This is an awesome tablet. It is rated for 10hrs battery but I get more. It does everything needed and all my docs a sync between my devices. I have classes I don't require a full laptop for and the air works great since I still have full pages and numbers functionality but less load to carry.

IPads are obviously the best tablets on the market which is why I have owned two of them now. This allows them to command a higher price but I never enjoy paying it! Great tablet though and would buy again and recommend to anyone looking for a tablet.

As with any Apple product, there is always those of us who wish they would tweak their prices a tad more but I guess the adage "you get what you pay for" applies here. Being that I was a iPad 4th Gen user, I was fortunate enough to be able to exchange it within the allotted period and get the iPad Air. Everything reported thus far has turned out to be true for this unit. It is still 9.7", but MUCH thinner than the previous version. It is also reportedly lighter in weight but not sure one should discern themselves with .7 lb difference. In my opinion, it's rather negligible in the whole scheme of things. This iPad utlizes the new A7 chipset which is reportedly 80% faster than the 4th Gen. To be honest, perhaps it is but I have not been able to benchmark any of the apps to really say "WOW! what a difference." Hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine!

I upgraded from the iPad 3 and i have to say that I love this new design. At first, I was a little concerned that I should have gone with the new Retina Mini but after a few days those concerns vanished. It is super light and thin compared to the iPad 3. I really have nothing bad to say about this device. Just do it!

Simply cannot love without this device, unfrtunately lost it within 6 weeks and am going tonight to relace

Really good functioning tablet only negative is no flash player for device everything else is a plus...

I bought this to slowly replace my aging MacBook Pro at work. I use it every day in work, and often at night. It is on my lap now awaiting me to read the news. I am looking into purchasing the zaggfolio keyboard to type quicker, but otherwise this is a fantastic product

I love the ipad I think by now they should offer a better camera . Speed is great as well as the weight. It's a great tool for my business.

An absolutely spectacular machine. No other tablet comes close. Maybe on paper other large tablets have similar specs, but Android and Windows tablets can only dream of offering such a wide array of apps with minimal issues and such a user friendly experience. Do not let the price hold you back. I would have paid more. Android may have more to offer with phones, but Apple remains lightyears ahead when it comes to tablets.

I love the iPads - this is my 3rd. Would highly recommend!

Was my first tablet. Loved it. Easy to navigate. Works the same as the phone. Just upgraded to the air two for the extra GB and fingerprinting. Sold this one in four days.

If your thinking of upgrading from a previous, slower iPad model, don't hesitate, just do it. This iPad Air will blow you away with how fast it runs iOS7. You won't regret it.

But will never buy at Best Buy again. Better price and service at apple store. Service and pricing is horrendous compared to going to some store. You can but more GB at better price and they don't try to sell you the ridiculous insurance that best buy does. Will never shop at best buy again

i first bought 16gb. but it was not enough for me. i needed more memory so i bought this. otherwise all ipad are fine.

I really enjoy playing games and viewing websites on my ipad. It is very fast and accurate. The sound has also improved from the previous versions.
