    Worth it over WiFi version

    |
    Posted .

Cellular connection is very useful to have when you are traveling. I was in Japan for a week so I signed up for a T-Mobile tablet plan ($20/mo) which comes with free international data roaming. Another advantage of the cellular model over the Wi-Fi model is that it comes with GPS so you could use the iPad for navigation which is very handy. All cellular iPads are unlocked so can buy any version and get a SIM from the carrier of your choice. You can also often find them for almost the same price as a Wifi only model. (the older generation like this iPad Air). Carriers often have promotions if you add a tablet to your family shared plan as well.

    Best tablet currently out there

The iPad Air brings a completely new and improved experience for tablet users. For starters it really does feel so much lighter and thinner than previous models that it leaves you saying "Wow!" It also features the new A7 64-bit chip which means more power and more speed. The amount of apps available are unparalleled making the possibilities for use endless. Personally, as a student, I find the iPad Air incredibly useful for note-taking, word processing, presentations, sharing, and reading. Not to mention being able to take a study break with entertainment such as movies, music, games, etc. if you're looking for a high-end tablet with versatile features and powerful hardware wrapped in a beautifully thin design then look no further than the iPad Air.

It is a very easy to use!! Easy to travel with! Use it for personnel use. Love the large on screen keyboard ? Takes great pictures! This is our first iPad and we are so glad we picked the iPad air. Learning how to navigate on the iPad is easier then I thought it would be.

    Very Happy (again)

This is my third iPad. I sold my iPad 4th gen because I THOUGHT I wanted to go back to a Windows product. Big mistake. I used the Windows tablet for a couple of years and couldn't take it any more. Best decision ever to go back to an iPad. Call it a senior moment, but now I am back to all IOS devices! The clarity and ease of use should sell itself.

    Well made, thin and light

This is my first ipad, I have been watching tablets from the first ipad. Frankly, this should have been the first ipad, easy to hold, compact and easy to use (ofcourse its from Apple). Signed up for the free T-Mobile data plan and it was very easy to do so right from the iPad. Battery life is excellent so far (mixed WiFi and cellular use), easily lasts up a whole day with light to moderate use (less gaming, more browsing) Best part is cellular versions are all one now, you can buy from any provider and use on any switching the SIM card (I actually bought the AT&T one and used the T-Mobile SIM) Size is deceptive, but this size is perfect for browsing, wish it was a tad lighter with the case for pro longed one hand use, but its a good one to hold right now, probably the best in its class.

Much faster, sleeker and weighs less.

The overall response when loading web pages, photos and movie is much faster than iPad 4. The feel is sleek and comfortable. I am a backpacker walker commuter so less weight helps out. I like the way it picks up my wi-fi extender signal when moving about the house without me having to go into setting to make the change. Screen and fonts are crystal clear.

Overall, Im happy with the tablet and the cellular service that goes along with it. I bought this for personal and business use, but more so for my kids to also enjoy it. I have had an android tablet prior to this and it was great but when software upgrades came about....the tablet ceased to function properly. Hence the change up. Even though the price is high but it will last me and my family for a couple of yrs, even with upgrades to the software.

Great Deal on iPad Air Going out of Production

    |
    Posted .

I purchased this iPad to replace an older iPad 2. As this model was out of production there was a $100 instant rebate for the WiFi/Cellular model with activation. It's a great unit that serves my needs. Only one CAUTION... Make sure you tell the salesperson YOU DO NOT WANT TO USE THE PHONE COMPANY "FINANCE" PLAN. If you do, you don't get the $100 rebate AND pay full retail for the iPad. In my case I paid just over $400 (tax included after rebate) cash, instead of $749 if I had accepted "interest free" payments with ATT. Putting it on most credit cards and paying it off over 2 years will probably not cost nearly $350 in interest!

My fourth iPad. All as expected and more

    |
    Posted .

I've had iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad Retina and now iPad Air. It just keeps getting better. I admit it - I'm an Apple FanBoy, but it's easy to be. They keep giving me exactly what I want, maybe a little later than I want it, but the wait is always worth it. I started with Apple products with an Apple IIGS in 1988 and since then have always had Apple products in my house.

    Go big

    |
    Posted .

I got this iPad Air because the first one I got was too small. The new architecture eats up a lot of available space. This one seems adequate. It's a just a little heavy for holding up in one hand and this makes the speaker location (on the bottom) kind of ridiculous because you eventually rest it on something and that blocks the speaker. The camera is a pleasant surprise. Nice to have that big ole "LCD" . If you are thinking about buying iPad Air buy the biggest you can afford. If you can only get the 16 GB, opt for a larger mini.

    iPad air

    Posted .

I love my iPad air because it's light, very fast, really kool. I used to have IPad 2 wifi, what a difference with the new technology. I also had original purchased the iPad Air wifi and then took it back because I realized that it would be much nicer to have the wifi and AT&T service attached to it so I could use it all the time. What a wonderful thing. It is extremely fast. The idea of having multi screens open is great so that you can go back and forth. Plus it was a great Christmas present to myself.

A tsblet that can go anywhere

I went with the cellular option, now when we travel I can activate the Ipad cellular on a month to month contract. Now we have a great on the go internet but we also have the large screen GPS! And of course with the approriate connections music of your choice while you travel. We also use the Ipad as a primary camera, no flash can be a problem ( although using an app to allow you to take low light photos is a workaround ). So many choices in the tablet market, research, look, buy and be happy.

Great product. It's my first techy item.

My husband thought I should have a laptop or something and we decided this would be more fun. It takes great pictures. It's fun and easy to use. I can play games at the table, facetime my sons, and check email when my husband is using the IMac at the desk. We bought the IPad at the same time as the IPhones. Things I put on one device are on the other. It's great. My son has one and he reads his textbooks on his. He sent me a book on mine the other day. Can't wait to start reading on it also.

    Amazing product

I have really enjoyed using this product and would highly recommend it. It is very thin and light. Easy to use and supports all the great apps you have come to know if you are an Iphone user. Although the newer the better is the rule with Apple products, if you can't afford the Ipad Air 2, this is the Ipad for you. I would suggest getting the cellular 3G capability model if you plan to use it away from home and work. Otherwise, you can't use internet.

    Excellent tablet

I held out on purchasing an iPad until now, but now that I have one I can't live without it. I wavered between the wifi and cellular version but I am definitely glad I got the cellular version. It is so much easier browsing the internet from the iPad than on the small screen of the iPhone.

    very easy setup process.

The think I like most is the ability to use the bluetooth features to add speakers, keyboards, etc. The screens are fast and far easier to use than the prior version of the product I had (version 1). While I haven't taken too many pictures , the ones that are recorded have turned out really great. I chose the wifi plus cell version to have unlimited access to what I needed and it's been a great experience.

The iPad air is amazing, it functions like a mini laptop, with applications, internet browser, word processing, games, and everything you need. The cellular service is also great. By the way, there is no difference between ATT and t mobile models of the iPad; you can just switch the Sim card. No need to unlock the device or anything.

No, this is not a review of the new Kanye West album. I'm talking about the iPad air. My biggest complaint with the original iPad and theiPad 2 was the weight. I never really got into using it as an book reader, until the iPad AIR. This has proven to be the perfect iteration of the iPAD. I have net used the cellular yet, but I have the option should I need it while traveling.
