The setup was easy, and screen quality great. Downsides are the closed ecosystem, difficulty in transferring files (compared with Android) and having to work with whatever memory you have onboard. Some features are also not as intuitive as Android system (although that's my own opinion).

Good tablet for my 11 year old to have for school

We ended up getting a Survivor case for it instead of the Otterbox due to our dislike of Otterbox products in the past. However the iPad has functioned well enough but the biggest upside was strictly for his school it connected seamlessly. There are some large differences between the Samsung that he did have and this one but those can be overlooked. We are pleased with its usage and overall it is a good product for him and the things he does with it. I do wish it was a little less expensive.
