Purchased for his 8th birthday, but he has not visited since purchase!

I have never liked apple and probably never will.... I'll stick with Android.

Replace for the same product that broke, it was exactly what I expected

I love my IMac, so when it came time to introduce my 72 yr old mom to computing, I got her this IPad Mini 2. It's a great value, and another quality product from Apple. We wanted something easy to use, and highly portable, with good battery life, that wouldn't take up much room. My mom uses it for watching Bible based programs, looking up recipes, News & Weather, Web MD, and shopping for everything from pet supplies to clothing. It's always ready to use, sitting on the kitchen table. I use it too when I visit, to check anything sports related, or anything we may need for the house. I also bought an equally sturdy SMT Dux Ultra case to protect it as it's being used.

I have been using iphone and ipad 2 for years. Decided to get ipad mini for the convenience of the size and retina display. The setup was a breeze. I was amazed by how crisp and vibrant the screen looks. The processor is much faster and pages load unbelievably FAST! I The size and battery life is perfect for travel. Despite of a little higher price (Apple premium!) I would recommend it for the build quality, apps availability and performance.

I am happy I got the iPad mini 2. I previously owned an iPad 2 and iPad mini, and neither could handle drawing apps like Procreate or Tayasui Sketches. They would randomly crash and close, so I kept losing process on the files I was working on. Some games as well would do this. But the iPad mini 2 handles any app I open with 0 lag, and supports some multitasking which is a plus. My previous iPads would close any app I had open before switching to a new one, so working on them was slow as I had to work one app at a time. Plus the display is now Retina, so text is clear. You will start to see pixels on low quality images though ;)

The iPad mini 2 (either 16 or 32 GB) is quite simply the best value in tablets and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. At $100 less than its successor on the base model, all it sacrifices is touch-id and the gold option. The only current iPad option with a faster processor, better camera, wireless AC, and slightly improved screen construction is the 9.7" Air 2 for $200 more. No one should be buying the far inferior $50 less first generation iPad mini or the ridiculously overpriced and hardly upgraded mini 3 at retail price. Get the mini 2 on sale and you're doing even better.

the purchase was very slow-- person who sold to me really wasn't sure of what needed to be done. It took almost 90 minutes to complete the order and then I had to go set up a time with geek squad. So going in I knew exactly what I was buying and still took almost 2 hours. Plus, the salesman said I needed to buy cables. When geek squad came they said immediately, there was no need for cables. Upon returning cables I was told no because it was beyond return date-- it took two weeks for geek squad appointment.

Purchased first one for granddaughter. She loves having it and enjoys many features. She tried to listen to music and not able to hear anything. Took first one back, got second one. Brought it home and again no sound with ear buds ?? Now we have been back to Best Buy for the third time. AGAIN..no luck with the ear plugs ?? Our next stop is an Apple store and believe me we are not happy and will reconsider Apple products (or probably NEVER purchasing Apple items) If Apple does not correct the problem they will never get any more business from us.
