This device does pretty much everything iPad Air does, but in a smaller package. If you desire portability and lower weight instead or bigger screen, it is a device for you.

Excellent product. Great resolution, very light, easy to work with. My son loves it. After all, it's an apple, what else do we need to say about the quality?

Tablet is the perfect size to carry around with a great variety of apps to choose. Battery life is long lasting and is quick to get to its full charge.

Like the smaller size. My ipad2 was a little big. This one is perfect. Only thing I've noticed is the iOS on it makes it crash often never had these issues with my I pad2. Get a larger memory iPad for some reason ios8 takes up a lot of memory and has quiet a few apps that it comes that are not deletable.

This is the 5th iPad mini 2, I have purchased from Best Buy. It is a gift for someone. I have one and I Love it. No complaints at all!!!!!

Traded in an iPad 3 for the iPad Mini 2. Well worth the cost to upgrade and having a smaller screen. It's easier to hold and much faster than the model I had. Mainly used for reading but nice to have the large App Store availability. Did not see the extra cost for Touch ID being worth it, and don't miss having it for an iPad.

I bought this iPad for my mom and she absolutely loves it. It's so easy to use and is nice and compact to fit in to her purse.

I held off buying the 2012 iPad mini because it did not have a Retina display and had the older A5 processer (the one used in early 2011 iPad 2). However, I was able to use the device quite a bit at friend's houses and fell in love with the form factor. In fact, even when we bought the new iPad Air on Black Friday 2013, I still felt the size was too large to carry around everywhere. I eventually went and got the Retina iPad mini, and have just had a tremendous experience using it for the past few weeks. The form factor is incredible (can hold it with one hand, weight less than a pound, and can slip into almost any bag or briefcase). The screen quality is a tremendous improvement over the 2012 iPad mini (look at comparison screenshots of images and texts), and the processor bump is a HUGE upgrade (again, look at comparisons). All I can say is that if you are in the market for a smaller tablet, this is your choice to go as long as you can stomach the inital investment. Apple products are known for their high quality and long-lasting value, so to me it's alwasy worth it to get a better product up front than worry about fixing things and upgrading constantly. Very happy!

Love the size...fits in your hand well, and can hold it with one hand for a reasonable period of time. This tablet is the right size. As with any tablet, whether or not this is for you is based on what your uses for it are. If you are looking for it to replace a laptop, I'd say, not so much. If you are looking for portable moderate web-surfing, light duty e-mail, e-reader, light entertainment device then it's a really solid choice. My Samsung Galaxy SIII phone has far more options when it comes to sending a really detailed e-mail than this iPad. As with all of the Apple products, iOs is a bit rigid and quirky compared to Android or Windows which are both a bit more intuitive. Seriously consider how much storage you think you need and then add more as 16G doesn't go far with this, Have an Android 10" tablet with 16G and the apps must take up less storage as we have had that for almost two years and aren't running into a storage issue, but we are already there with the iPad and we've had it for less than a month. But remember, that with iPad that additional storage comes at a hefty price. With all the great Droid options with expandable storage on the market, this makes the iPad really expensive no matter which one you choose, but makes the higher memory capacity iPads pretty ridiculous, I would recommend this to a friend, but as you can see above, with certain caveats.

Again I've given a device 5 stars.....well it is an apple after all. I've been using these things since the mid 80's, when they were huge and the screen was the size of my mini.....it operated on 2.3 KHz, and there wasn't a hard drive.....it only had two floppies... hmmmm.......well... .anyway, this mini nearly does everything that my new macbook does.....and everything my iphone does, except make phone calls.....although... I haven't tried using my magic jack with it yet.....Finally .....It's the perfect size, has plenty of power and the battery has lasted way longer than advertized.....and I don't know what these people with tab and crash problems are talking about......it isn't happening to me....so to sum it up for y'all ....... it's another fine apple device to own and appreciate for years to come.

I waited for a while before selecting which tablet to get. I toyed with the idea of getting a kindle fire, but I love apple products so I went with the ipad. I also couldn't decide if I wanted a full-size ipad or the mini but decided to go with the mini because of the smaller size. I'm very glad I chose it because it is perfect for what I need. I can easily carry it in my purse and use it to read while traveling or lying on the beach. I feel that if I had purchased the regular size that it would not have been as easy to use. Overall, this is a wonderful product and I would recommend it to anyone!

I got my iPad mini 3 gold through my wireless phone company I love it I play games watch Netflix on it I love it it is also light weight I health issues and take lots of meds and have weakness in arms and I can handle this so good my husband loved mine so now he has one lol it is excellent

I bought it few days ago, and I like it so far. The screen size and display are great. Depending on what you do, you have plenty of apps. I have a WiFi at home and it connects easily and it's even faster than I thought. Very simple to use as well. The inconvenience is: it is not compatible with Adobe Flash. Some videos won't play. The delete touch function on photos is not always responsive and the sound has less quality than iphone5.

This is an awesome upgrade from the Mini I recently traded in my iPad mini for this one @ first I couldn't decide between mini2 or 3 or BIG difference is the fingerprint scanner and I can as well stream ivies from my iTunes digital copies I have instead of downloading and taking up space on my device all in all this was worth it!!!!!!!

I have a iPad and bought this iPad mini for my kid. It is the best available all-round functionality tablet in the market. Price was not bad for a iPad 2 Mini, it sure will go a long way for this price.
