I bought this right before the mini 3 came out, and I'm glad I got it. Initially I was going to wait for the 3, but when I heard that the only difference was going to be the touch ID, it was a no brainer. Essentially the same product for $$$ less. I prefer the mini to the air because of the size. I like to use my mini to read books/mag, easier to hold compared to the air.

As an owner of a MacBook and iphone, it seemed natural to purchase an iPad. This iPad mini is beautifully designed and has all of the technical features of the newer iPad 3 without the ridiculous $100 fingerprint scanner or optional gold color. Save money and buy this model. You won't be disappointed!

I have a full size iPad retina. I find myself using it more than my full size. The Retnia display is really sharp and the processor is fast. It was worth the extra cost over the regular mini.

Bought this for my 3 year old since he was always trying to get on his sister's mini or my wife's air. Love the simplicity of iPads because my 3 year old and 7 year old navigate through theirs like tech savvy adults. They always customize the screensavers too which is cool for them. I have it in a kid proof case so at least in the case, this thing is durable. So far, no issue. only thing that is a negative is no expandable storage because 16GB go quick, especially when you really only get 10 or 11 gb.

This device is great. This is better then the first gen iPad mini. Before I got this iPad, I bought the samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 and then returned it and got this. I didn't like the samsung tab because I couldn't get my music to work and it was a little smaller then this because this is 7:9 instead of 7.0. Love this iPad mini. Better then iPad mini first generation and the first generation iPad. Great device!!!!!! Love how I can sync all my apps, shows and music together with out doing anything.

The ipad is easy to use. The only problem I have till now is that it becomes hot on surface after I play games for hours.

I went to a best buy to purchase this item in store.There was fast service, and all my questions were also answered. it works GREAT!!My little sister loves it,and I love it too. The FaceTime feature works great and there are countless apps to install.We Love it!!!!

If you're like me who doesn't care about having iPhones (I'm a Samsung guy) but somehow need to use FaceTime, this is about the best Apple device to buy. Although the tech used was 3 years old, it still receives the latest updates and software features and it's also the perfect size for me to suit my FaceTime and on the go needs. Just be sure to connect to WiFi and or your phone's hotspot in order to fully realize it's intended use. Spend a bit more on the bundle that comes with a sleeve, stylus, extra longer charging cable and screen protector and you're all set!

What is the mini for, exactly? There are better tablets for kids. if you want an iPad, better off with the full size one for a bit more money. if you want a cheap tablet, better off with a fire tablet. Proof is in the fact mine is collecting dust, while everyone actively uses their iPhones and Macs in my household.

Love the size of the iPad mini! It's smaller & lighter than the previous iPad that I had. I use it for emails, Facebook, games and reading primarily.

My wife and I bought three of these for the grand kids for Christmas. Solid build as are all Apple products. They could download all their apps that they had from their iPods. Videos were sharp and clear. Hardware was fast and lag free. Great value.

Slim, sleek, all you want in a tablet. I use this for home and work and it's easy to bring around everywhere, and am pleased with this product

As a family that is close knit, we want products that are close knit. Apple now has Family Sharing which allows parents and kids to share purchases. it also allows me as Dad to be aware of and approve apps and other purchases on my kids' devices.

My new Ipad mini is my favorite new little toy I mainly use for organization. The retina display is beautiful, and all the new apps that support it made this a great buy. Would recommend for anyone that likes to read or organize on the go.

Very happy with this device. Was concerned initially about the size, but it's actually larger than expected and was a reasonable price.

This was purchased for my 9 year old to use. Being an Apple product it is compatible with all of our other Apple products and it allows great parental controls. I am able to control his iTune purchases and websites that he can view.

I wanted to purchase the Retina mini last year when it debuted but did not want to pay the premium and had just got an iPad 4th gen the previous year. The purchase was definitely worth the wait as the differences between the iPad mini 2 and 3 are minisucle and the price is perfect! I've compared this to my wife's Air I just upgraded as well and the differences while noticeable are not enough for what I use it for: web surfing, mail, and video. The overall simplicity is why I stick with Apple when there are cheaper Android tablets.

I wanted a iPad but not a full size. The mini is perfect, hold with one hand and very light. Just what I wanted. Retina display is awesome!

This is a nice upgrade from the original iPad mini as it has a much improved screen.
