    My wife had an IPad mini and after IOS 8 update the performance dropped very much and everything was very slow. My wife is a photographer and it is very important for her to look for new ideas and even surfing in the Internet became a problem. So I went to BestBuy to see how the new IPad mini 3 performs with the new IOS and it was flying. I was happy to get one for my wife and trade in the old one.

    The iPad mini is much lighter than my iPad 2, and the smaller size makes it convenient to secure in the car console; but I think I would have been happier with the iPad Air when it comes to reading a page of text in a pdf document or an iBook. Also, right out of the box I experienced problems with the multi-task gestures balking from time to time making it necessary to tap the home button to change apps. Overall good; but not great.

    This was my first time buying an ipad/tablet and I'm glad I made the choice that I did. Everything from the set up to the actual use of the ipad has been quite easy. The biggest difficulty that I had was determining what I should do for storage capacity. I could definitely see myself using this just as much as my laptop (if not more).
