Beware of the Open-Box Special

Although the box was not new, the iPad looked fine. However, when I started to activate it, I discovered that Best Buy had failed to deactivate the prior user's Apple ID! The previous owner had written his/her email and ID inside the box lid, but it had been scratched over and was illegible. When I called Geek Squad, they told me it couldn't be corrected and I would have to return it! I called Apple Support, and their tech walked me through it. Apple A+. Geek Squad F.
