I bought the ipad mini purposely because it is small. I did not want to lug around a 10 inch tablet as my laptop is 13 inches. I like the size of the mini, it is perfect for throwing in a bag and checking email in meetings or anywhere. Much easier than doing so on a smart phone. My only wish is that the safari browser isn't as robust as the one on my macbook pro.By that I mean, you can't navigate the same way you can on a laptop (open new tabs, "pin" pages, etc.) - but it is still fully functional. You just have to learn a slightly different way to get around. Synching it with my iphone and my macbook pro is entirely seamless which was a completely unexpected feature as I didn't know all my apps and music could be shared/synced, etc. Definitely worth the price.
