You cannot go wrong with apple although it is pricey

I am new to the tablet world, however, i loved the concept of having a more mobile computer that fits in your hand. After conducting extensive research, reading and watching reviews and review videos, and followed by product comparisons, i knew the iPad with the retina display was the best product. The first thing i noticed with this tablet is just how darn fast it is! All apps run very smoothly and efficiently, and i hardly notice any buffering or lag with my slow, rural internet. The next and best feature is the retina display. Reading on the i-books app is even more enjoyable with such rich and clear texts that the retina display provides. Viewing and editing pictures is a breeze with the retina display. You can now see every detail. The next best feature is the use of apps. All apps that you enjoy on your iPhone are 100x better on an iPad. The canvas is larger and the software is faster. The final feature of this beast is the battery life. It practically never drains! To sum it up, if you are interested in a tableters life, join millions of extremely satisfied people and take the iPad route.

Returned my Galaxy Tab, bought this... glad I did.

Not too shabby. It does what it is supposed to do.

The IPad retina does not work regularly with our router. Even after buying a new router that was supposedly certain to work, we do not get reliable Facetime and texting. The Apple engineers currently are trying to figure out what is wrong. No solution yet.

Not being computer savvy, I'm struggling to make the best of this iPad. I know this iPad can do a lot of things I'm not aware of. When I go in to get info, I don't really know what questions to ask. I'd like a class on features and use.

I expected it to work like my iphone but it not so much. It is definitely a learning curve and I am not enamored yet. It is only for a specific work task and for that it works well. I don't think I would like it for the "fun of it".

I find it hard to maneuver in my music files. I can't download some of my music I have on my Amazon acct. I have another "tablet" that works just as well and was several hundred dollars less.

Not a whole lot this device does out of the box. there are plenty of apps, but most seem elementary. Not a huge apple fan, and this device does not change that.
