The ipad was easy to get started, customize & use. The wifi was a little difficult setting up as I was inexperienced with routers but was able to do it on my own. I enjoy all the variety of apps that were free although some free games aren't really free & are always wanting you to spend money. Accessories, like stylus, keyboard, ipad carrier/holder are pricey but make using it easier. Cell phone service would make it more portable, like a large smart phone but not in my financial range at the moment. I love using my ipad, got it on sale for a great price otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get it. I can now get books from the library to read on it & that is great. There are a lot of free things you can do with an ipad that is out there that you wouldn't be able to do with a PC. The updates & downloading are quick & easy. I can even watch TV with HD like quality. I am glad I bought it.

I have a Android tablet (Motorla Xoom) that I bought when they first came out. I did a LOT of research on tablets, and specifically chose the Xoom over the iPad 2. Kudos to Apple on their marketing since people always say, "...oh..." when I tell them it is a Xoom, almost as if they are apologizing that I didn't have an iPad. But to be honest, I didn't and still don't want an iPad. I have a Mac laptop that I wouldn't trade, so I am NOT an Apple hater. I just like Android. When my wife finally decided she would like a tablet I started researching the latest Android devices, but she told she already had her mind made up - she was getting a retina display iPad. I have to admit it is a pretty nice and the screen is killer. But the Adobe limitation still bugs me up, and I just happen to love Android operating software. The iPad is probably slightly easier for the less tech savvy and since it is so prolific it is easy to find someone to offer advice or help, both of which are more important to my wife than they are to me. Nice device, and great for her. I gave it a 3 on "Value for the price" because let's face it, tablets are just not really all that useful. Sure you can come up with 1000 helpful, useful, cool things to with it, but my phone does all the same things and my laptop is better than a tablet at the things my phone cannot do.

As expected this is an incredible experience! Everything that you've heard about the iPad is true! Easy to use, great display, more apps than you could ever use! I love it!

My husband bought this as a Christmas present. Although I thought he paid too much I admit I do love it! I don't even like to use my laptop because the display quality seems horrible compared to the ipad with retina display! The detail is awesome. Picts are good & video quality is better than my Handy Cam! Only downside with the ipad is it does not support adobe videos although my iPhone does. So when my friends post a video on FB, I have to use my phone to watch. Hopefully Apple will change that with next upgrade.

Although a bit pricer than all other tablets, the ipad is the best of them all. The screen is simply amazing, and the ease of use with apple interface makes this THE tablet to get.

The iPad is unbelievable, it is lighting fast, has a beautiful display, and is very easy to use. I never use my laptop anymore. Don't waste your time considering other tablets.

Fast processor and very clear screen. Limited amount of memory once I added a few apps and books, it could only hold 2-3 movies. Also, has issues when I tried to remove the movies, the iPad still thought that the memory was being used. I had to reset the system in order to get the memory available again.

Great for all applications. Love doing photos on this, nice crystal clear large screen. Easy to type and kid friendly too!

The ipad with Retina display is very pretty and the battery life is great. But it is a little too walled off for my taste. It has no compatibility with programs outside the Apple App store and it can be very difficult and annoying trying to get files on and off of it. The lack of a micro-sd card slot and the ludicrous price increases for modest increases in flash memory make this a so-so value in my opinion. I think I'll look to an Android tablet like the Asus T700 for my next tablet as it plays a lot better with other company's products than the ipad does.

I have wanted to buy an ipad for quite some time and finally did. I'm so glad I made this purchase. I am an avid Apple customer, but I try to refrain from buying the pricier items except for my Macbook Pro, since I needed a computer for school. But, I'm very glad I bought this. Nothing comes close to the quality of the ipad and if I don't want to lug around my Macbook, I'm able to take this and read my text books, after transferring them to the kindle app. It's a great investment that I'm very happy I made.

I love all Apple products, but as with all products there are problems. I have owned every iPad and am really loving this one, but note the 4th gen does tend to run hotter due to retina display and other features that have been enhanced, it is not a defect. Retina display is amazing. It does everything it says it does and much more!

Though Apple products are not cheap, I would say it's worth the money. Very easy to use and light weight.

I'm glad I got this I-Pad, I can download books,games, info, check my e-mails, and connect with friends,,, Its not only for entertainment but for learning and staying connected.... And the big plus you get all that and its portable...My wife and I are always passing it back and forth.... The I-Pad and I are still fighting with each other but I'm learning to use it's features slowly but surely.... It's amazing.

bought the 4g model for my mom. very easy to set up and user friendly. retina display screen is great. very good quality camera. i think it's really expensive but I guess you pay for the user experience. I also got the original ipad case and it gets quite heavy for a tablet with the case on. other than that, great tablet.

I Love my new Apple I Pad just turn it on and your done very fast also has siris found it going threw the settings .Has alot of free apps and the speakers are very loud and the music is so clear not like my laptop at all also the pictures you take are Beautiful .I Give Apple a 10 star plus on this I will tell all my friends about this tablet

this is an awesome tablet! i'm spoiled by it. it is so compact but sturdy without being bulky. it loads really fast. i have watched my netflix movies on it and the picture quality is beautiful. it's so crisp. the lightning fast charge cable works great when i use the adapter. however, when i plug it up to my dell laptop, it reads "not charging" but it's actually charging very slowly. not sure if this is a common problem with the ipad or if it's just mine. other than that, no problems so far! it takes much better pics than the previous version of ipad thanks to the retina display. i just love it! i'm going to get case for it so that i can travel with it. fortunately, it can fit in my purse and i won't have to lug my heavy laptop anymore in my backpack or satchel...phew so much easier on my back! i recommend this to students or anyone that is looking for a tablet with great quality and ease of use

I've owned all of the iPad's since the first one came out. This one is by far the best. The screen is simply beautiful, and I never get any tension headaches from reading for too long. Worth it if you don't have an ipad, worth it if you're just upgrading.

Love the retina display. Super easy to use as well.

I have three other tablets and the Apple iPad is by far the best one of them all... Ever since I purchased the Apple iPad I have not used my laptop as much either. It puts everything at your fingertips and truly makes life a lot easier
