iphone 6 Open box issue and awful customer service

I got a unlocked Iphone 6 open box item last week from Schaumburg best buy store. The battery was totally dead and i came home charged the battery and booted up the phone to realize that the phone had a passcode lock. I took the phone to the best buy store and they told me that the imei code on the box and the one on the phone does not match. and they would not help me with it. How would i possibly know to check and match the imei on the box and the phone when i am buying the phone. The store manager Aaron Adams (Store 305) told the that he could not do anything about it and asked me to either bring the phone that matches the imei code on the box or talk to apple. Where should I go and get that phone from? .It sounded so ridiculous. I spoke to apple support. They told me that both the imei number phones had the purchase date of April 3rd and the date I got the phone was april 15th which does not match either and they asked to talk to another best buy store. I took the phone to another best buy store and they said they cant do anything about it and asked me to talk to the best buy corporate office. I called up the corporate office and they routed me back to the best buy store i got the phone from. This thing has been going in loop for the last 1 week. I went to the police station to check if there was a complaint registered for a lost phone for the imei number on the phone and i was told there was no complaint registered. The store manager argues that there was no way, they would have got the wrong phone in the box which was the only possible explanation in this case because it is an open box item and that was the only logical explanation for this. He would not even check their inventory for the other imei number. He said they would never make such a mistake and he was not going to check his inventory for this. Why cant they check their inventory? It makes me really suspicious. They sold me an Iphone that cant use and end of day they are blaming me for their mistake. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Can some one please explain why wouldnt the store manager Aaron Adams (Store 305) wouldnt check their inventory for both the imei number, which makes me really suspicious. Can someone from best buy team please respond ???

I bought this particular iPhone 6 for my wife. I've had mine since their release date. It's my 3rd iPhone and I wouldn't even consider switching to an Android. The simplicity, the ease of use, and design are all things Apple nails in their phones. The quality is unmatched in my opinion. Oh sure, you may not be able to customize an iPhone as much as you can an Android phone, but that's not what I'm looking for in a mobile device. I'm not necessarily happy about the huge cell phone trend, I never wanted one. But when Apple enlarged the iPhone 6, I decided I would either have to jump on board or switch to another product to keep a smaller size. The iPhone 6 size took some getting used to, it felt monstrous, but I did get used to it and now thoroughly enjoy the larger size (but please, no bigger). When I hold an older, smaller iPhone, they seem so tiny. So if you're like me and weary about getting a large phone, there is an adjustment period, but the added real estate is very nice. The iPhone 6 is extremely thin and light weight, even when encased in an Otterbox Defender series. Touch ID isn't something I used for very long, but I'm eager to try Apple Pay, so I'll use Touch ID then. The camera quality is great. And since Apple eliminated the 32GB memory, you can now get 64GB of memory for the same price as the 32GB used to be. Can't beat that.

Great phone so far, nice upgrade from the 4s. Camera is outstanding. Size of the phone and weight is great. Love all the extra storage. Only one complaint this far: right after purchase, a vertical blue bar started scanning the screen, apps would not work while it was bouncing across the screen, phone also would not auto lock or lock when the lock button was pressed. The phone then would die immediately while this blue bar was present. I researched the issue online and decided to reset it (which inconvenienced me because I had already filled my iCloud storage) and had taken many new pictures with the new phone so I had to transfer everything to my computer first. I did a factory reset and now it works fine. Hopefully it stays that way. I definitely wasn't expecting to have issues with it so soon after purchase. But it's working as of now.

I decided to upgrade after my old IPhone decided to stop working on me. I am enjoying this new phone. It is a little bigger that the last, and a little lighter as well. Nice color and screen, the finger touch to unlock is great, and the camera takes great pictures. I would recommend for anyone upgrading an IPhone.

Great phone, love the larger screen. Camera is top notch, battery will make it through the day. If you are a heavy user may need to charge more than once a day. Super fast, love the feel in hand.

I still had my iPhone 4s and have been waiting a long time for the iPhone 6 to come out. To me, the 5 wasn't enough of an upgrade over what I already had, so I have been waiting a long time for the 6 to come out. For me, the wait has been totally worth it. I love the bigger screen, bigger text buttons, better quality of photos and I love the new design. I never understand the point of using glass to make a phone out of, as my 4s back glass was shattered into about a million pieces, though still functional. But I think the new material will hold up better and the phone just looks nice! Sleek and thin. I went with the 64gb option because I keep a LOT of music on my phone. I'm not really sure what the logic was in getting rid of the 32gb option, but I would have needed more than that anyway. I waited a long time for this upgrade, and to me the wait was well worth it.

I didn't think it was possible, but once again the new phone is making the old phone seem heavy and clunky. There is a noticeable weight difference between the 5 and 6, and of course the screen is bigger. I like the thumbprint lock, though I had to re-enter my fingers a few times before I got consistent results. They moved the lock button from the top of the phone to the right side. A minor annoyance, simply because I've been conditioned to finding that button on top, so it causes a brain hiccup every time I try to lock the phone up. I don't know why they have to keep moving things around! Overall, a great phone.

I previously owned an 32GB Iphone 4s...So, after 2-1/2 yrs, i upgraded and based upon the features and apps I already owned, it came down to the choice of the Iphone6 or 6 plus. I decided on the Iphone 6 instead of the plus for 2 reasons. The first was that I didn't really need a screen as large as the 6 plus, as this screen was already bigger than the 4s, fit nicely in my hand and the extra cost for the 6 plus was not worth it to me. I also chose to go to the 64GB as I found I was using up the space on my old phone with with photos and videos. I have owned both Droid and Iphones and both are good; but to be able to just move to a new phone on the same OS made it simple

I bought this for my wife as an anniversary gift and she couldn't be happier. This was an upgrade from her out dated iphone 4. The iPhone 6 is sleek and beautiful in appearance. It is also very quick as far as opening apps and the user interface is super easy to adapt to. Overall a 10 out of 10.

Very happy with the battery life and ease of use. Upgraded to have more memory which I have not come even close to using up. The only down side was the customer service I received when I went to the store to activate the phone. They were not interested in helping and told me to just follow the directions that came with the phone. I had gone there to buy another phone and add a line. Lack f help cost them the sale because I went to the Verizon store.

I love the size and how thin it is. The clarity is amazing and the camera is the best of all iPhones to date. It's fast and I love how you can finally have both voice and data at the same time. HUGE plus for me!! Love it.

Well I had a iphone 5, but wanted to try something new, so I decided to get a Samsung Note 4. Worst mistake, the iPhone's themselves are the best phones out there and you get more with your money. The Samsung had glitches and often times I would touch the screen and it would not respond, like an iPhone does. So needles to say I went back to my over 2 year old iPhone 5, and works better then a new Samsung. I guess I will never be making the same mistake by switching to another device. iPhone is the way to go. I wish they had some competition, but apparently not. Then I switched over to the iPhone 6, greatest decision has a larger screen that is clear with a faster processor. I am very impressed with what I got and it came as advertised and fast shipping!

I exchanged a 4S for the 6. After migrating from Black Berry to Android to iPhone I had finally found a phone I really enjoyed using. The 6 comes loaded with features that I quickly employed. I'm a heavy user of apps especially photography and social media. The new hardware and iOS 8 provide a win win situation. The apps run quicker and battery life is markedly longer than the 4S. Bluetooth range appears to be longer than the 4S. The quality of the camera, as well as the options and features, makes this more than a phone for me. It has become part of my camera gear as well. The size of the iPhone 6 initially concerned me but it turned out to be a non-issue. I would without hesitation recommend the iPhone 6.

I've been a longtime Samsung Galaxy user (S3 and S4), but when the latest system update messed with the usability of my phone for the 3rd time, I decided to go with the iPhone. This is a major problem I've experienced with Samsung, but that's for another review. PROS--There are some great features on the iPhone. It's intuitive and Siri is much better than I've experienced with Samsung. I am a total "Fruit" now, as I have all Apple products. Syncing with my Macbook/iPad is so much easier than with the Samsung. The camera does a much better job than my Samsung S4 (yes, I know the camera is really good on the S6).. CONS--I really miss the Swype feature available on Samsung. And as a busy real estate professional, I have been hampered several times in the iPhone's inability to use data while on the phone. This is not a huge issue, but it could be if I didn't always carry my iPad. OVERALL--I am happy with my iPhone, and should have done the switch years ago to match the rest of my Apple products. Samsung makes a good product, but until they fix their update issues, I can't keep doing hard resets and switching phones. Even the Samsung rep at the local BBY was stumped and suggested my move to iPhone. Good Call, Mr. Samsung!

I needed to replace an old iPhone 4, but was hesitant because of the sheer size of the iPhone 6, but I was wrong. It is perfect, much better readability, and easier it type. I also find the camera much sharper. Cons: Transferring the data from my old iPhone required some skills, I did not have my old phone when I bought de iPhone 6, and when realized it was not going to be an easy task, went to an Apple Store and they refused to do it because the the phone was not purchased at their stores. Not nice! Take precautions. Living abroad, I did not need a contract in the U.S. So had to buy an unlocked version that ended up being extremely expensive.
